Hey everyone. We wanted to give our listeners, some background on ourselves so you all can get to know your co-host a little more. We sat down and interviewed each other and here's what we had to say. Check it out. Sabrina, you're up. First, what is your name? My name is Sabrina. Where are you? Born or raised. I was born in Bangladesh, and I was raised right here in America. I have been living in the state since 2000. And I've been down in Georgia, since 2005. So I definitely consider myself a Georgia Peach by. Now, what are some fun things you're into some fun things for me, would include playing with all of my goats, I owned, six, dwarf goat, they are adorable, I'm obsessed with them. Some other things would include
That is one of my favorite hobbies and I love to clean. Also, I think I'm OCD and I love to spend time with my kids, and my husband. We are really big scary movie fanatic. So anytime there's a new scary movie out. We are there in theaters like watching it the day of when and how did you and your spouse me? So I met Brandon in the August of 2018 and how we met is actually a really funny story. It's kind of cliche but we were at a dog park. He was up there with Benji and I used to have a dog named arrows back then and I was up there and I saw Benji and I like instantly fell in love because he's a French Bulldog and I love Frenchie's. So I was like, oh my God like let me go meet your parent and he walked me right over to Brandon and since then we've just been inseparable
What do you and your spouse do for a living? So Brandon owns his own music label and I am a web developer. How long have you and your mate been together? So I've been with Brandon pretty much since I've known him and we've been married, since November of 2019 do you and your spouse have children?
So, Brandon has two daughters and they are 10 and 12 there. My stepdaughter is a, but I love them like my own. They are literally the best girls and we have a really cool relationship. What is your outlook on interracial marriage dating and marriage? Is that it's simply beautiful. I think we need to embrace it more and really get out of the stigma of having to marry within your culture, or within your religion, or was in your race. I really think that diversity is definitely the way to go. Did you ever think you would be in an interracial marriage?
I will say for me, yes, I knew I was going to be in an interracial relationship. I knew I was going to marry and into an interracial relationship as well. And the reason for that is because I just simply don't find like, bangali, guys, attractive. I don't know why and it's nothing against them and I'm sorry if you guys are listening, but I just don't have any attraction. So I knew that whoever I end up with was definitely not going to be within my culture and my race.
What is some advice? You would give someone in a new interracial relationship. So my advice to you, if you are in a newly entered interracial relationship is that you need to enjoy it. And you need to embrace it because it's beautiful and it's amazing. And now you get to learn about a whole new culture or raised and it's it's just amazing, you know? I'm if you guys, you know, start thinking about kids in the future, you guys will be a part of creating more more diversity in this world which will lessen some of this hate that we have going on.
Hema, you're up next.
What is your name? My name is Hema and mean soon-to-be hematoma in the receipt next week, actually. In one we today actually,
Where were you? Born and raised. I was born and raised in the UK. I was born in elfida and I moved to and get some Chelmsford area at 12 years old and then I moved to Atlanta Georgia at 18 years old.
What are some fun things you're into? So I enjoy hiking. I enjoy going on Trails. I have a little fur baby and both of us including our room. Some days loves to go on walks and works. We have a park close to us Chastain Park. They have a really nice Trail and back on a couple times with him recently since he married. And I just love exploring all these new era, new places close to us. Now, we have so many things to do now that we've moved to the city and I just love exploring new hotspots in Atlanta. And how did you meet your spouse?
So Adam and I met at Applebee's and if you don't know what Applebee's is, it's a chain restaurant. So I walked that as a Hostess for probably about a few months and he walks in with his friend and I told my friend at the time. I thought he was cute. And then the next day, another co-worker of mine came up to me and was like someone thinks you're cute out of like yours, Adam. She was like the guy who came in yesterday with my husband. So he kept on coming in nearly every other day, with his other friend to Applebee's, when I would like to see if I was working, I guess, but he wouldn't say anything. He just would come in and be really awkward and just relax myself of that and just keep looking at me and obviously I had a crush on him. So I was just looking at him to like, are you going to make the first move? Or do I have to? And I've never made the first move before, but I had the balls are
Let me just go up to him so I did. And now we're here. What do you and your spouse do for a living?
So I am a marketing coordinator for a property management company and Adam works as a field engineer for a right cross.
How long have you been with your mate? And how long have you been married? So Adam and I have been together for this is going to be six years this year and we are going to officially be married on paper next week. It's so surreal going from boyfriend to fiance to now husband. I am so excited to call him my husband. And yeah, so next year we are officially going to have our India ceremony June 4th as well. And we are so excited to celebrate in Cancun, June 4th 2022.
What is your outlook on interracial? Dating and marriage. So growing up in the Indian household.
I felt like everyone was around. Indian people all the time and I didn't really see any other race. And even in high, in primary school, I went to feel like Indian South Asian school. And then when I moved to English stone, I went to an international high school and they had they had kids from everywhere. So I had like, I had attraction for all these different people. Now because I see all these different races in front of me and I'm like, I don't see, just me dating it Indian pass and I'm like, okay, I'm attracted to an Asian, I'm track to a black person. So from high school, I sight seeing all these different races and yeah, I think that had a very open Outlook on this, a very young age just because I moved school and I think that death
Play helped me.
Did you ever think you would be in an interracial relationship? I don't think I did especially at a young age. I don't think I did, but like I said, in high school, I was dating outside my race. So 15, 16 years old. So I think that a young age, it was easier for me especially with not. So strict parents, it was and they were very open to and I told them like I'm dating an Asian person. I'm dating a Vietnamese person. I'm dating a bad person, so they're very open and they never like, judge me. They never said anything. Over my dad, made this one comment and I was just like brushed it off. But either way, I think, your parents are always going to look out for you and try and like keep your best mind a hot, some parents at least but mine at the time they were very open and I really appreciate that because
It made me see a whole different side of different cultures and a young age, I was experiencing a different cultures and being involved in the different family of dance in different cultures and I love. So, I appreciate that, but what advice would you give someone who was in a newly entered interracial relationship. So kind of what I was speaking about with coaches. I think it's important to have an open conversation about different cultures, and your own cultures, like I'm Indian Adam's, Mark and half black, and I think it's important to talk about that Elian. So, you know, whether their religious, whether they are openly practice stuff in the culture, whatever it is, you want to make sure that you both are on the same page and you are open to that too. Cuz you don't want to be very goes down the line and be like, oh well I'm not into whatever you're into and but you
If you love that person, I really think it's important to experience different experience, top, and to understand Traditions as well.
That is all I have time for. Thank you so much.
Winnie, you're up next.
What is your name? My name is Winifred Stevenson everyone. Calls me. Winnie, because Winifred, get butchered all the time. So I just say, call me when you like, Winnie the Pooh. Yeah. Where are you? Born and raised.
I was born in Los Angeles, California at Kaiser Permanente but I was raised in Smyrna, I lived here, my whole life. So basically I'm from Smyrna, Smyrna. Georgia, what are some fun things you were into?
So some fun things that I would be into, it definitely be doing goat yoga. My girl Sabrina and Brandon that was awesome. Traveling cooking, making drains mingling and swimming by the pool.
When and how did you meet your spouse?
Yelp.
If you know, you know? Okay, so I meant William do my ex-boyfriend and he used to work on Wheels BMW.
We broke up make a long story short, we broke up and I got online to sell an iPad. Nothing to do with The Break-Up, just was selling the iPad for extra cash. And I really didn't use the iPad. So it's like iPad Air, and we'll split through my DM's acting like he was trying to buy the iPad but really
He was trying to get with your girl and it started with a dinner date and we went from there.
What do you and your spouse do for a living?
So, William is a construction worker and he operate heavy machinery. So, like backhoes excavators, things like that, and I'm an esthetician. So I do skin care waxing facials. Anything from beauty to
Taking wax off and, you know, the works, anything cosmetic and Beauty science.
How long have you been with your mates? And how long have you been married?
That we've been together a little over eight years now.
We started back, it says when. But we started back in and I want to say, 2015-16 something around there.
Do you and your spouse have any kids? No William. And I do not have children. Not yet. We do have Rocco but he's he's just as good as a child very needy.
What is your outlook on interracial, dating and marriage?
My Outlook on interracial marriage would be.
Definitely, you have to have some patience, you have to have some kind of patients in this world that we live in and all of these.
All these stipulations that people think has to be done this way. All you have to marry into your race and you have to have kids with your race in order. All of that is bull crap Diva who makes you happy. Did you ever think you'd be an interracial relationship?
People that work. I'm just a few individuals that weren't of my race were very attractive and I kind of, I would never see myself married to Asian man.
Like I said, it just I went with my heart and I'm happy and that's all that matters.
What advice do you give someone who is newly entered into a interracial relationship?
An advice I would give to someone in a new interracial relationship would definitely be. Do not listen with parents, they do not listen with your friends, say do not. Listen what your culture or religion says, you do not have to be with a specific race in order to go to heaven or live a great life. You don't have to definitely take everything with a grain of salt that people say and be ready for people to look at you in the grocery store. All kind of way trust me. We get stared up at this rate. I'm just like, is it cuz we're both Attractive people.
Cuz I mean, I know y'all see an eraser relationship all the time now. But yeah, be ready for those stairs in the grocery store? People don't be staring. You down like this.
