- Mini-sode: 3 Work from Home TipsAre you looking for a few work from home tips? Whether you're a freelancer, a content creator or a small business owner, if you’ve recently transitioned to working from home, this podcast episode is for you. Tip 1: Create designated workspaces At the beginning of the pandemic, I worked on our kitchen counter and my husband Brandon worked in our bedroom. We didn’t have the space for both of us to have work from home spaces. But when we bought our home, we knew we needed to have a home office. Today, Brandon and I share an office. I can work in the office and on the dining room table. I prefer a lot of light in the room. If you live in a small space, I recommend even finding a blank wall and ordering a small desk to place your work items. It’s helpful to carve out a space to work. - Mini-sode: 3 More Prioritization Tips for InfluencersWe recently discussed how to prioritize tasks as creators and influencers. And I was inspired to share 3 more prioritization tips! If you’re looking for more tips and ways to organize and prioritize tasks as a creative and small business owner, this episode is for you. Tip 1: Use the Chunking Method If you haven’t heard of the chunking method before, a chunk is described as a focused work activity. Instead of switching tasks every 30 min or every hour, you chunk out or time block your day. If you want to try chunking or time blocking, I recommend thinking about your most productive hours of the day and then chunking your most important tasks into those hours. Some people feel most productive between 10am-12pm, others feel most productive between 7pm-9pm. I also recommend making sure you’re allowing breaks into your schedule in between chunks. Your brain and body needs time to step away from your work to reset and refuel.
