Bad audio quality, good content
The content is very interesting but the audio quality is pretty bad. It almost sounds like people are speaking into speakerphones instead of condenser microphones. A small investment in some audio equipment could raise the quality of this podcast 10X!

1 Part Report, 1 Part Prophecy
This is such an important podcast in the digital currency realm. It is a foreshadowing and a portent, and maybe even part of a harbinger of change in the reorganization of power structures around the globe with the concomitant re-distribution of currency sovereignty around the globe.

Not much here really.
Frankly I don’t understand why as advisors for advisors they don’t talk more about strategies and allocations or unique ideas regarding taxes or jurisdictions that may help with that. Otherwise if you like hearing a lot about not much this is a podcast for you.

- CONSENSUS 2023: In the Eye of the Crypto StormA Consensus 2023 panel with Laura Shin and Michael Sonnenshein. Grayscale’s now-publicly traded bitcoin trust was the original way for U.S. investors to gain exposure to the asset without the headache of setting up a wallet. For a time, it was the only game in town, and handsomely profitable for investors who tolerated the initial 12-month lockup period. The CEO of the world’s largest digital asset manager candidly discusses GBTC’s evolution and his perspective on the challenges of the last two years, including the collapse of the trust shares’ premium to net asset value, evolving investor demands and new competition, and broader regulatory hurdles and the subsequent legal battle to convert the product into a more investor-friendly structure: an ETF. Laura Shin, author and podcast host of “Unchained,” moderates the panel featuring Michael Sonnenshein, CEO of Grayscale Investments. This episode is executive produced by Jared Schwartz and edited by Ryan Huntington, with additional production assistance from Eleanor Pahl. - CONSENSUS 2023: Crypto Banished From the Banking System?A Consensus 2023 panel with Caitlin Long, Richard Booth and Oliver von Landsberg-Sadie. The demise of three crypto-friendly banks, along with not-so-subtle pressure from U.S. regulators, exacerbated a longstanding problem. Industry veterans discuss this perennial challenge and possible solutions. Michael Casey, CoinDesk’s chief content officer, moderates alongside panelists: Richard Booth, chief compliance officer of Fortress Trust Company Oliver von Landsberg-Sadie, founder and CEO of BCB Group Caitlin Long, founder and CEO of Custodia Bank This episode is executive produced by Jared Schwartz and edited by Ryan Huntington, with additional production assistance from Eleanor Pahl. - MONEY REIMAGINED: The Mother of All Risks - Attacks by Rogue States With Juan Zarate Roofstock onChain The crypto world has been a little different every week after the fallout with FTX and the image of Sam Bankman-Fried versus the reality of what was actually happening has created distrust in the crypto industry. - MONEY REIMAGINED: Worse Than Enron? The FTX Collapse Leaves Many With Egg on Their Faces Roofstock onChain This is a story of how something can appear to be what it is not. It’s a tale of a jarring contrast between the image the world had of Sam Bankman-Fried before FTX’s meltdown pushed the crypto world into a nauseating tailspin and the reality of a wildly mismanaged multibillion-dollar empire with what Bankman-Fried’s appointed successor described as an “ unprecedented” failure of accounting, oversight and discipline. Before Ian Allison’s Nov. 2 CoinDesk scoop on FTX sister company Alameda Research’s suspect balance sheet, Bankman-Fried was seen as a philanthropic, well-connected, celebrity-hobnobbing, marketing-savvy leader, a wunderkind who made crypto respectable. Two weeks later, he is viewed as a laughing stock, a suspected criminal, an irresponsible, wildly underqualified, selfish child who has destroyed the livelihoods of tens of thousands. Wow. What a difference two weeks make! In this episode of Money Reimagined, host Michael Casey chats with two CoinDesk colleagues who’ve delved deeply into the SBF story: Deputy Managing Editor for Companies coverage Tracy Wang and Managing Editor for Global Policy and Regulation, Nikhilesh De. Together they dig into how the erstwhile FTX CEO could have misled the world to such a degree. They explore Bankman-Fried’s journey, how it begins with his adherence to the principles of effective altruism, a stated desire to get as rich as possible to do maximum good, and how it all seems to fall apart as FTX gets bigger. They discuss how his philanthropy, political donations, and marketing efforts hid the dark reality underneath and delve into what needs to happen, at the community level and in regulation, to protect people falling from such distortions in the future.
