Great show, poor choice of beverage

I love this show. Great content, guests, and I have learned a lot! I have loved the original movies ever since I saw A New Hope in the theaters when I was 5! I don’t know much about the books, etc. My one complaint is the title of the podcast always makes me have the urge to drink a cup of coffee, of which I will immediately regret, if you know what I mean. Can we change the name? Something like, “Sparkling water with Kenobi”? I don’t think Obi would mind? Anyway, keep doing what you’re doing, and we can workshop a new name.

Intellectual and intelligent in the highest level

I’ve already written a review, but I had to write another. You guys have always been fantastic at looking at Star Wars as not just content to be consumed, but as literature and looking deeper into not only the lore but also the symbolism, themes, narrative structure and character arcs. Your most recent episode on “Battle Scars” was on a completely different level in terms of intelligence and intellectual analyzing, which is saying something- 99% of the time you are amazing at that- but your episode on “Battle Scars”was even better. I can’t wait for more. Please keep it up.

Coffee with Kenobi is one of the best, most thoughtful podcasts out there, not even just in the Star Wars realm. The conversation is insightful and pleasant. The hosts and the guests are always easy to listen to. The production value is very good. The analysis is superb, and whenever a review of some aspect of media is not well-received, it never is disrespectful or argumentative. This IS the podcast I was looking for!

I have finally found a place where people are thinking about Star Wars with the same depth, passion, and vulnerability that is constant rattling around in my head and heart. My first introduction to CWK was at Star Wars Celebration Chicago at Dan Z’s mythology of Star Wars panel, which was a true highlight of the Celebration. I spoke with Dan after the panel and he was such a class act. I now feel like I have a Star Wars ‘home base’ in CWK, and I look forward to many more meaningful and fun episodes to come!

A great way to start your day.

I subscribe to several awesome Star Wars podcasts, but CWK is what I would consider my "home" podcast. It's where I began with Star Wars podcasts and, indeed, with podcasts in general. Listening to Dan and the gang engage in their witty and thoughtful discussions always helps me start my day on a positive note. In this timultous time we find ourselves in as fans of a galaxy far far away, its nice to know some are still discussing and debating star wars in a positive and respectful way. Long overdue review

This is long overdue... Mike from the Cantina Cast here and I'm going to tell a little story about the Cantina Cast and CWK. Back in 2013 Joao and I were spinning our wheels trying to figure out what the CC was going to be all about. We had broken down a few characters in the GFFA and analyzed some scenes and quotes as well, but it wasn't till CWK coming on the Star Wars podcasting scene that Joao and I realized we had to step up our game. Dan and Cory pushed us to be better podcasters and helped us focus on what we wanted to do. But what really is amazing is the friendship between the two podcasts. We compete to make our show better and Star Wars podcasting as a whole, but we're friends 1st and foremost. There isn't a classier Star Wars podcast out there. CWK is one of the elite Star Wars podcast. It's great to see another Star Wars podcast looking at the holy saga in a whole new way. It may not seem very exciting right off the bat but you can't let these critics get to you. So Wonderful

This is a fantastic podcast made by lifelong Star Wars fans. I love the discussions, especially Comics with Kenobi. No one else spends as much time discussing each comic in the Star Wars universe. I love it! If I had to muster one critique, it would be the amount of breathing directly into the mic and the loudness of the mouth noises. It becomes grating after just a bit. If hearing that sort of thing bothers you, I suggest listening to it at 2x speed. It takes some of the stress away from hearing it. All in all, this is a wonderful podcast, and I highly recommend it (for whatever my opinion is worth, I suppose).

Great comics coverage

I've only just started listening to the network, so I cannot speak to their overall Star Wars coverage. What I can say, however, is that the Comics with Kenobi is an amazing podcast. Matt and Jeff have that 'it' chemistry so essential to fun, informative podcasts. They also have a true love of Star Wars AND comics, bringing a wealth of information to listeners about comics in general (the industry) and other comics that Marvel's new Star Wars comics occasionally riff off of. This is a MUST listen podcast for Star Wars comics fans.

What I like most about this show is keeping rumors and offical releases well sperated. Rumors are unavoidable, but CWK keeps them at arms length and focuses more on what's relly happening and more importantly the fan aspect and focus of what's going on.

Great conversations

I really enjoy this podcast. The guys on CWK have a deep love of the story of Star Wars and don't waste time and energy talking about negatives. That's a market that is so well filled that's it's nice to get commentary and analysis not tainted by jaded cynicism. The shows run a bit long and feel more unstructured compared to what i generally prefer, but it's got heart where it counts. New devoted fan. #CWKFandango

Dan and Cory's podcast is an intelligent examination of the Star Wars universe that's always welcoming and positive. Me likey!

I've loved the Star Wars as far back as I have memories of existing on this planet. If anyone else shares this, which I'm sure many do, then this is the podcast that will scratch you right where you itch. Dan and Cory manage to navigate around the usual hackneyed banter surrounding the movies and succeed tremendously at creating a safe, positive, and open environment to share opinions on the universe we all love to lose ourselves in. They most certainly are the best in the biz at peeling back the onion and exposing the deeper elements of literature, mythology and more that add depth to the Saga. More or less, if you're looking for a Star Wars podcast that'll make you think and attack angles you didn't even know we're there, then subscribe NOW!

Dan and Corey always give insightful analysis of all aspects of the Star Wars universe. It's a pleasure to hear them discuss the movies, books, Clone Wars, Rebels, collectibles, and anything related to Star Wars that comes up for discussion. They bring an exciting array of guests on the show too. If I was limited to having, say, 3 Star Wars podcast subscriptions on my iPhone, this would definitely be one of them. Inappropriately named

Coffee is used to energize and vitalize, this show does neither. The presentation is slow, awkward, and boring. I’ve no doubt the host are big Star Wars fans, but the lack of enthusiasm and energy for such an exciting subject makes this a big miss.

Thank you for bringing a well-thought-out show to the Podcastverse! The attention Dan and Cory put into writing the show each week really shows. I like the structure behind it. Plus, they've had some really great guests which makes listening each and every week so interesting! I just have one comment - I'm a music buff, so the music underneath certain segments can be a little distracting for me, especially when it's looped. It might be fun to hear some different music each week underneath the segments rather than the same thing every time. Great job guys, the new logo is fun. It's obvious how much time and effort goes into the show, and it's paying off!

The most entertaining thing to hit the Outer Rim since the Boonta Eve Classic of 32 BBY

As a Mediocre Jedi far removed from the Core planets and constantly seeking to avoid any Imperial entanglements, my access to Galactic news is limited at best. Kriff, I'm lucky if I can even get a halfway decent HoloNet signal. I already tried to submit one review, but either it got lost in hyperspace or a rancor ate it. Regardless, I'll again attempt to review "Coffee With Kenobi." What a fine podcast it is, indeed. Dan Z and Cory Clubb begin with the latest Star Wars news, events, and information about collectibles. They then delve into the main topic of the podcast, whether it be literary criticism, topics from within the Star Wars universe or fandom, or interviews with prominent Star Wars subject matter experts. In a crowded field, this podcast stands out

There’s plenty of “Star Wars”-inspired podcasts to choose from, but many tend to parrot the rumor du jour or the latest online rage. “Coffee With Kenobi” is not the podcast. The hosts are diligent in their explorations, rarely meandering off the beaten path into the wastes. Instead, they speak of and with a balanced tone of reverence, respect and skepticism as they bat down unfounded rumors, talk with fellow fans and expound on the original films, the EU and what the future may hold. I keep coming back to this one, and I’m glad that I do.

Worth the Time to Listen

I've been a loyal listener of Coffee With Kenobi from the very beginning, and I've been waiting for Dan and Cory to get a few podcasts under their collective belt before posting a review. (and I finally figured out how to do so here on ITunes! ha) The first podcast was great -- and they keep getting better and better. A wonderful mix of Star Wars news, in-depth interviews, and enough tidbits to offer plenty of variety during every show. You might think there's nothing new (but the upcoming movies and television show) to talk about considering Star Wars has been around for more than 30 years, but Dan and Cory always find an intriguing topic or new slant on a subject that keeps Star Wars fresh and interesting. A more civilized podcast.

There are a great many Star Wars podcasts out there and many of them try to either copy the more established ones or set themselves apart with gimmicks. COFFEE WITH KENOBI does neither. Rather, this show puts its own spin on the genre by offering a true discussion on Star Wars themed topics and encouraging the listeners to participate in the discourse. You won't find speculation here. Just insightful and entertaining discussion. Try it. You'll be glad you did.
