About This Episode

Warren Buffett bought his first stock when he was 11 years old, but he didn’t become an investor until he was 19. That is when Buffett learned a mind-altering lesson from Benjamin Graham’s book The Intelligent Investor.

In an interview with Charlie Rose—not discussed in this episode—Buffett said “it was amazing what kind of an edge [this lesson] gave me.”

This episode was inspired by TikTok investors. You’ll learn all about that almost immediately after you hit ‘play’.

I share my answer to this question: “If you could go back in time and give yourself one piece of investing advice, what would it be?”

Reading this report is what prompted me to “dive in” to TikTok.

There is an ‘easter egg’ in this one that I hope give you a chuckle. That’s becoming a trademark. You’ll know it when you hear it.

I re-recorded this one five times. I had a version completed 24 hours ago that I thought was the one; I listened a few hours later and scrapped it. Crazy, right?

Feedback Needed

This is important.

The feedback about Compound Money Quietly has been overwhelmingly positive. The only ‘negative’ feedback I received through this survey is that you want new episodes, more frequently.

I want to deliver that for you—and I am not lacking the passion or ideas. I just want to be sure the calibre of content isn’t compromised.

Here’s what I mean…

I could easily do a daily breakdown or editorial about something happening in the investing world—and then relate it back to Charlie Munger’s wisdom. But that’s not the same as a timeless episode like Compounding Your Way to Wealth. Can they co-exist?

I would love to know your thoughts.

Leave a comment or send me an email: franco [at] cmqinvesting [dot] com.

I hope you enjoy the episode!

Sincerely,Franco

P.S. Your feedback keeps me motivated. Someone just sent this via DM on @CharlieMungerQuotes:

So just wanted to say love the podcast. I’ve heard every investing podcast out there and this is some really refreshing content.
