Great Podcast
I have been listening for far to long but still enjoy the show. Wombat is the only true gamer on the show these days. Cheapy has grown to care more about table tennis and becoming howard stern while battling raccoons in his yard. Ship is just the guy who buys everything and likes playing terrible licensed games. Thankfully wombat is around to keep the show great and in the video game genre still. #TrueGamerWombat Update: Wombat is still the only interesting gamer on the show now. I have not listened in 6 months, it has just gotten boring. 2 of the 3 hosts seem to no longer care about video games but want to podcast about video games. Maybe time to hand over the show to wombat, change can be good. Cheapy can start a ping pongcast and ship can start something…

Longtime fan
I started listening to this podcast when I was 14 and delivering newspapers. I remember loading it up on my iPod mini before going out for the day. I am now 29 and still listening. Love the talk of games and new tv shows as well as the personal anecdotes shared by the cast. Thank you for the consistency, laughs and recommendations (currently watching yellowjackets thanks to cheapy, great show btw). Keep up the good work. Also found it interesting that Wombat vacationed in my hometown of Lancaster lol. Been a great ride as long as y’all keep making them I will be listening! -Alex

Came for the video games but left due to politics
I've tolerated the blatant politicizing for a long time but it has gotten to be too much. In particular is Wombat's virulent position toward anyone who disagrees with his stances on various subjects. His responses are almost universally demeaning and his rancor is thoroughly offputting. Personally, I couldn't care less what you're individual political leanings are when I'm listening to a video game podcast but I don't want to hear them regardless of where they fall on the spectrum. When I'm listening to a video game podcast I want to hear conversations about video games. It's not a particularly difficult concept to grasp or execute. However, since the CAGcast is failing to do so and has been for quite some time now, this mutli-year listener will not be listening any longer. You had a good thing going and you blew it.

My favorite video game podcast
I've been a listener and have been following the site and the podcast for 10 years or more. While Wombat is funny (and reminds me a bit like Olaf from Frozen) I think I'm most like Shipwreck with his deadpan sense of humor. Cheapy is also great with his stories and his poop jokes. Keep up the great work :)

Funny show
My brother got me to listen to this show. He had been listening to these guys for years. We are in the same age group , in our forties. It’s supposed to be a gaming podcast, but they mostly talk about other things. They are usually pretty funny , mostly Wombat , not sure if that’s how it’s spelled . They have been getting some bad reviews from some “ listeners “, because of their supposed left wing opinions. I guess now a days, being normal and caring about your childrens health is considered being left wing nut . Whatever , great show. I laugh out loud a few times every episode. Ep 703 , when the other guys were giving Wombat a hard time about using an air mattress while camping had me dying. I camp a lot , so I was on Wombats side.

Pretty, pretty good
One of my favorite video game adjacent podcasts. Only like 15% political, not as much as some snowflakes on here make it seem. Almost had to give 4 stars because of the lack of camping knowledge all hosts have, but then I remembered it’s a video game podcast, so I can’t complain.

CAGcast RULez!!! Eructation to the max
First of all, I’ve listened to every single episode since around 2008, and I have counted Every single belch and burp from Cheapy D.. I have counted 726 as of this writing, this includes the “blog talk radio” holiday specials which are on different feed, but I still have archived on my Nano ipod..keep in mind the first couple of episodes don’t have “eructation” sounds, but it starts to pick up very gradually. They are truly video game outsiders and I’ve made purchases due to their knowledge..

Enough Already 2 Electric Boogaloo
Great podcast that has adjusted to life as we all grow older with them. As a gamer with an 9 year old step daughter, I appreciate listening to a gaming podcast that understands the family side of life and how that now mixes into gaming life. The podcast can definitely get a little sciencey on occasion thanks to what’s going on in the world, but that’s life in 2021. Mostly just leaving this 5 star review to take away one of those 1 star political crazy reviewers. Eat it crazies. Great podcast guys. Keep it up.

Love you love the show
The older I get, the more valuable I find the humorous and to-the-point critique this show provides when it comes to how one should spend their time and money. As a parent with less free time on my hands, the three hosts provide a relevant point of view when it comes to how evaluate worthwhile media. And they do it in a socially responsible yet humorous way every week. I can only hope to be the kind of parent Wombat is (and I guess Cheapy and Shipwreck are pretty good too). The show ages like a fine wine! LOVE the political talk!

It's bad
I use to think they were just oblivious to their constant political talk bleeding through to the podcast but it is quite clear to see that they do not want people like me to listen anymore. No problem with that, I quit following all 3 of them on Twitter years ago because of the total nonsense filling up my feed. Same will be happening for my Podcast feed now and I clearly see I am not alone here! Good luck on your show guys. I think you will need it judging from all the reviews recently. PS I second that reviewer who mentioned Sacred Symbols for their Podcast fix that for whatever reason the 3 Cagcast hosts decided to make fun of on a recent episode. Its a much better listen than this garbage has been for years and they actually have a variety of views on it.

After over 10 years I’m done.
I have been listening to this podcast for over 10 years. I remember the days when Shipwreck was just a guest, when Tai was just born,etc etc. In my personal life, I have been through a lot of ups and downs, lived in a few cities but every week I couldn’t miss the cagcast….until now. The show went from 3 funny/happy guys talking about games and their life’s for an hour to 3 guys complaining about movies and tv shows for 40 minutes(not sure why they watch so many things they hate),15 minutes of complaining about games/making fun of switch games,5 minutes of cheapy burping,15 minutes of Wombat complaining about far left/sjw stuff(his political views) & 5 minutes on Fortnite(hardcore games love to hear about fornite every week…..smh). Then you will hear “Breads done!” Well the toast is burnt, I hope they turn it around but I will never find out. On to find a new video game podcast. Thanks guys for all the memories.

Enough already
Please get back to your roots and talk about gaming news and deals from retailers and stop the political talk. Not only is it sad to see this happen WEEK AFTER WEEK but it is even more pathetic to listen to a 50 year old man talk about Fortnite every week. I feel bad for Shipwreck who actually has to sit there through it every week. He might lean that way politically but you can tell hes not on board with the constant political talk on the show which is why he hardly ever chimes in. If yall want to kill your shows growth then keep it up, just stop the crying about people like me leaving you 1 star reviews every week then after you spew woke lefty propaganda for yet another week.

Leaving a 1 star review because the show simply is not good anymore and it seems to really upset Cheapy, the 2 dollar Las Vegas version of Howard Stern, when people rightfully call out this show for being a joke due to the constant political talk and bias .We don't want to hear about how you got your 3rd jab, which Fortnite skins you bought last week or when your expected Hormone Blocker appointment is going down. Also, yes they barely talk about games.

It’s just ok.
It’s just ok. I listened. This is a podcast. It’s fine, it’s fine. Three stars. This is a podcast that I listen to. Obviously, they’re not terribly prepared, but they have like OK chemistry I heard and the production is really good. The microphones are good quality, but you know sometimes they just don’t know what they’re talking about.

My favorite Podcast for the past 10+ years!
I’ve listened to the CAGcast for roughly 12 years now and every episode makes my week so much better. Great video game podcast. ShipWreck, Wombat, and Cheapy are very funny and all have unique and different personalities. It’s like listening to a group of friends talk about their lives and video games.

Been a listener since that first episode that was 7 minutes long and talked about Katamari Damacy. I think. I even listened to it on my PSP at one point. I was a freshman in college. I don’t always agree with everything said or their tastes, but that’s fine, all three hosts are fantastic and I’ve immensely enjoyed being there to listen to their nerdy talks, personal lives and awesome moments like welcoming babies. I have a vivid memory of the highway I was driving when I heard about sabrina, which is a bit odd. I’ve never bothered with other podcasts, this one is superb. . If you are trump supporter, maybe you should re-examine your life because you are a bad person. And if you want politics out of this podcast, umm mate, everything has politics, ya might as well state you don’t like atoms in your life. Sure, I guess? . To CheapyD, thanks for making the website! To Shipwreck, I envy your ability to sleep for like 3 hours a day. To Wombat, truly a renaissance man, but you still owe me 1 million pesos, I forget the episode. Though the exchange range was way better back then. . And to all thanks for letting us be part of your life and family.

Aging like fine wine
I have been listening to these guys talking, joking and arguing with each other for years and I am always entertained. They talk about other things not just video games and I might not agree with them sometimes but I still love the podcast. They are in my top 3 list of best podcasts. Highly recommend.

Time to part ways!
This the first podcast I listened to in 2008. I feel like these guys have been part of my life for the longest time, but I think my and their ideology has been changing. This show is about discussing games, gaming deals, movies, tv shows and may be some personal life updates for all the hosts. However, this year their conversations have been very political and agenda driven. I came to listen to these guys to get away from real world issues, but Wombat’s insisting on talking about his agenda driven politics is slowly killing the show. I also think Shipwreck gets razzed by cheapy and wombat for some differing views on the current state of the world. I wish the team good luck and success with the path they have chosen to continue on. You guys have taken lot of stress away from my mind from my early college days up until now. I am not happy leaving a 2 star review, but maybe others can read this and try to understand why I chose to unsubscribe to this show after 12-13 years.

Not worth listening to anymore
I use to listen to this show every week and it was a real enjoyable listen, especially during the Thanksgiving/Black Friday timespan. However, this show is so far gone and a shell of its former self now that I only listen to it every now and then and only if I have nothing else that week to listen to. The previous reviews are pretty much spot on. The 2 main hosts, Cheapy and Wombat, are hardcore leftists who cannot go 5 minutes without bringing up liberal propanda or talking points, many of which have already been debunked. Its basically a audio version of listening to Fauci or Maddow except its done by two middle aged men in New York with zero clue or understanding that there is a entire country outside of the coast and they play games too. Shipwreck to his credit avoids most of this and outside of talking about games that literally nobody every is interested in, I don't have a problem with what he brings to the show. They barely even talk about games. Their 70minute podcast consist of 15 minutes of them talking about their boring lives or trips to Cartoon Network Hotels, lecturing the listeners about masks, orange man is bad, how people should get the jab etc. Then they talk about movies/shows in a segment they use to call "Watch this B's" but ironically renamed to not offend people, lol yikes. At this point over the show is already over and you get some pretty boring and generic talk about newly released games. Then you have Wombat, a mid 40s year old man who obsesses over comic books have a segment where he discusses his gaming time on Fortnite, a game designed and targeted for 8 year olds. You get some Q&A for 5minutes and thats a wrap. It use to be a entertaining listen when they would talk about Wombat being the featured Xbox gamer, Horse rubbers in Japan, clothes hangar bathroom stories and such to go along with their gaming deal and news coverage. Now instead its just another podcast being used to push a far left agenda (which is fine if you are looking for that), but many people don't want that. For the record, I don't mind political topics and conversation in a gaming podcast. But when its always one sided and its constantly in your face every week, it gets old and it gets old VERY fast. If you are looking for a real gaming podcast, I highly suggest Sacred Symbols.

It’s about family
Look, I’m a simple man. I like beer. I play video games. I may or may not have stolen a podium from the house of Congress. And while I may not be as smart as your average Trump University grad, one thing I do know (and Q will agree with me here) is the CAGcast is the best video game podcast out there. After listening to these guys for so long, hearing their life stories as they grew from bargain hunting gamers into budget minded fathers, ping pong semi-pros and all-around curmudgeons, they feel like family. Keep it up guys.

These guys have been a huge part of my life. I have been here before podcasts was a thing. Hitting the website on my 2 foot deep viewsonic monitor. We are all mostly grown men. I appreciate all 3 of you and understand we all have opinions and feelings. These ultra sensitive listeners that have such fragile feelings can learn to adapt to this kind of environment Podcast have up to a 60 second fast forward. May I recommend you use it. Only here because Cheapy D dropped a link and said we should drop our negative comments here and it sounded like fun. I have never listened to the podcast nor would I ever give it a try because it’s the last thing on this planet I could possibly want to listen to. I haven’t heard a single episode but I can tell you I wouldn’t wanna listen to 3 old nerds argue and talk about how back in their day a video game only cost them a nickel or the writing was better. You got an angry red head who’s sports team never wins, a bald guy who can’t stop obsessing with ping pong, and the last guy who tells dad jokes thinkinking he’s funny and calls himself a wombat. Must listen podcast for 15 years .. better than ever
Show is mostly about video games but expect plenty of movie and TV shows and a bit of real life snuck in as well. Opinions are those of 3 dads close to my own age (although my kids are older) with no real ties to the industry. Makes for a very relatable listen. I started listening back when it was just Cheapy and Wombat and loved it when Ship was permanently added to the mix. I have some of the “professional” game podcast in my regular rotation but CAG and P1P are the only ones I’ve never missed a single episode and move to the top of the queue when they drop. Content warning: Cheapy burps on mic a lot, he needs to get that looked at!

Been a listener since 2008 or so. The format has been the same for the most part, and the great banter has always been there: games, movies and beyond. I don’t understand how people can one star this show because they don’t agree with your politics you share every once in a while (and not “preachy” as some claim). Gaming is a hobby, but as a podcast subject, it can be pretty one-note. Keep on doing your thing, and read this, boyz!

Wombat drones on about his myopic view of the world and basically anyone that disagrees with him an idiot. I’m sure they won’t care that they are losing listeners, but it’s too bad.

This show was always excellent and hilarious but wombat just made this show even greater! I love the way he trolls the snowflakes who won’t listen anymore because their “feelings got hurt”. Can’t tolerate it any more
I will preface this review by saying I have listened to this show since the first episode — and have heard every single one since it launched in 2005. However, the hosts have made it abundantly clear that they would prefer not to have listeners whose political views may differ from their own. And for months, I have tried to tolerate the intolerance — even skipping ahead to try to get to the content that used to make this such an enjoyable listen. Unfortunately, the latest episode was the last straw, and my 16-year relationship with this show — and all of its sponsors — has come to an end. The hosts would do well to recognize that their listener base comprises people from all walks of life — and that their cavalier and dismissive attitude toward others is costing them listeners.

This is my favorite video game podcast. I love the conversation style of it. Sure they have segments where they talk about topics, movies/shows for “watch this” etc but it’s not rigid so it seems like friends talking. It’s refreshing. And they are funny. Highly recommend!

Hypocritical Leftist garbage
Used to love this show back when it first started, but the hosts have become completely unbearable. From the main guy who used to use the R-word until just recently who pees sitting down to the other original guy who never plays anything but loves to go on his soapbox about politics. He never said anything about how this show had segments like CAGcast Thuglife or Watch This B-words(when it is just dudes), or the R-word being used by his cohost. If you disagree with anything he says, he won’t listen and just claim you’re wrong. The third guy is the only tolerable one, but the other two just talk over him whenever he has something to say.

If you like video games, stay away from this mess...
I've listened to this show for about 10 years. I remember really enjoying it at one point, then I think I must have continued to download it out of habit more than enjoyment. I listen to a LOT of podcasts - and in the last few years, several just can't seem to help themselves and talk about things that shouldn't be in video games podcasts - political commentary. I listen to gaming podcasts to stay away from the modern toxic political climate. Due to this podcast's intolerant hypocritical political views I will be unsubscribing.

The most uninformed and uninteresting host
Podcast would be so much better without one host. Listing to wombat drone on this week about how he thinks he deserves a free series x was so gross. I am emailing a few friends at Microsoft with the link to the podcast in hopes that he never gets one. Wombat stated multiple times that a brand new cutting edge storage solution is just a “memory card” which shows his ignorance and lack of basic technology intelligence. I won’t listen again until he is off the show. It is like a bad version of the 90’s Stern show and wombat is some moronic jester.

Good chemistry, but light on interesting content
I’ve listened for awhile and really like the hosts. They are pretty funny at times and all three seem like genuinely good guys. That said, the show does feel a little ADHD at times. One person will talk about a game/movie/show but if the main host isn't interested, he’ll cut them off or rush through it. Also, it seems like the stuff they primarily play/watch is more “family friendly” or random older stuff. It’s understandable given that they are busy parents. I think it’s better to think of the show as less of a podcast about video games, but more as a podcast about three dads who happen to talk about video games and movies.

It’s pretty good if they actually discuss games
They seem to be having a harder and harder time avoiding politics. As if we would come here for life advice from guys like this. You guys love games and we love games. We come here for your discussion on games. I really don’t mean to be offensive, and I hope this can be constructive criticism. Lately, I am removing a lot of podcasts like this. Maybe I will check back in later. P.S. For anyone who thinks I’m being unfair, these guys continue to literally bring up a topic, name zero facts, offer no specific sources, and then pass judgement that is completely self-righteous and smug. That is the part you are supposed to censor, if you can’t just avoid bringing it up. You can’t just say “someone said something bad so that’s bad.” If you are not actually sharing the facts, how can you be totally judgmental and expect us to agree? If I’m supposed to go look it up myself, why are you doing “news” segments at all? I don’t even know I agree with hardly any of the things they have been saying, but I cannot stand the way they say it. I know this is a lot, and I may be a little ridiculous to type it all here, but it’s all true.

Lame podcast with almost zero video game commentary
Want to listen to two obnoxious clowns and a third guy that has zero personality ramble on about their boring lives and meaningless BS? Well this is the podcast for you. Each episode consists of five minutes of ads, 45 minutes of them talking about the most inane mediocrity of their lives, and the final five minutes they mention new releases. Shipwreck is so boring and monotone he shouldn’t be let near a microphone ever . Do yourself a favor and skip this one.

Best sleep ever
As an 8 month pregnant wife, I wanted to write and thank you for your podcast. Not only does my husband say this is one of the most entertaining podcasts that he listens to, but it is so enthralling that he listens to it while going to sleep, helping him ignore my snoring. Ehhh...
I've listened to this show for a while because occasionally there is a good episode, but CheapyD is a pretty disgusting dude and takes every chance to be disgusting. Not sure why burping loudly on every single episode is considered to be ok. CheapyD has the sense of humor of a 10 year old, Wombat is cool and Ship is by far the best and most knowledgeable. I understand that a lot of people love this show and that's great, but for my time there are better shows to listen to.

This show has gone down over the past 5-6 years and devolved into two old men complaining about children’s media, their backs and health problems, while one member tries to keep some small bit of logic and cohesion on the show. They talk over one another, interrupting and basically fighting (and not in any kind of funny or entertaining way). I had to unsubscribe, I can’t take it anymore

Been Listening Forever!
Seriously, CheapyD and Wombat (and later Shipwreck) were the first voices I've ever heard in video game podcasting. And for the longest time, they were the only gaming podcast I listened to. That all changed when I went from being a multi-console guy and began focusing only on one console. I thought finding a podcast like yours but focused on one console would be even better. But man was I wrong! The CAGCast is still my favorite gaming podcast, and the only one I need to listen to. Sorry it took me about 10 years to get around to making iTunes reviews!

Best crew around
Cheepy, wombat, and Ship are the best personalities on a video game podcast. I'm late to the party (about a 2 year or so listener) but they never disappoint. Do they know the most about games on the web? Hell no. Do they have any exclusives? Nope. But they do have charm, and a realistic view on games. Want facts? Google it. Want good takes and funny personal stories? Theses are the guys.

Best Gamer podcast you will find!
Something about Cheapy D and Wombat makes you want to pop a cold one and just sit back and relax. I can't say the same for the other video game podcasts around for the sole reason that most of the guys talking sound too stuffy. Cheapy, wombat, and shipwreck have such great chemistry and it's awesome to say this podcast has great consistency over the last decade or so.

My favorite podcast
I've listened to CAGcast for years and it's still my favorite podcast. I wish more people knew about it. I love games but that's not the main reason I listen. These three guys have such an amazing chemistry and so entertaining that I listen to hear what's going on with them. I love the recurring jokes, real life stories, banter and opinions on pop culture and other non-game related news. The game talk just makes it all the better. Tell people to subscribe even if they aren't gamers. They may still love this.

I love the dynamic between these guys. They talk about some of the video games i care about, but I find myself listening more so just becasue i enjoy hearing about their familes and how they keep gaming as part of their life. The thing that sets the Cagcast apart from other gaming podcasts is that it really has no fluff or filler. When the show is done, it's done. It should be called "Comics and Games" podcast.
About 60% of the time they were talking about past events and family events before even talking about games, even then they only talked about current games, not bargin ones like I thought they would. Also, they talked a lot about comic movies and books, which was not in the description either. I hope that this was just a couple bad weeks vs what the rest of the casts will be like in the future.

I love the show, finally giving my review after a full year of listening. You guys are great and the fact that two of you have children and still are into gaming gives me hope. That said I feel that you guys are negative on most games, and praise for a game you like is on the lower side. Other than that I love the show, I like shipwreck the most because his taste in games are similar to me, except I have a love for my ps vita games.

Though I am not a huge gamer, owning a PS4 and play it maybe 5 times a month, I absolutely love this podcast. I am subscribed to probably 20 podcasts, and these hosts are equal with my two other favorite shows' hosts (That would be Pretty Much It and Screen Rant Unground). Cheapy, Wombat and Shipwreck are so entertaining and funny. Even if you are not a gamer, you will enjoy this. And to be honest, they go off on random tangents about non-video game discussions, which is part of the reason I love it. For example, the episode I'm listening to right now, they're talking about sandwiches, and its hilarious! Anyway, listen to it. Its great.

I love this podcast, what really makes it enjoyable is the banter and discussions between the 3 hosts. My only gripe is that the hosts opinion on gaming in general can be too similar thus making for a more mundane show at times. Things are always more interesting when Wombat fires things up by offering a different perspective on a news story. But when it comes to the games in general, they all seem to enjoy and dislike the same things... you rarely get their inputs on Vita or Nintendo games.

Look forward to it all week
Some people get upset when others have a different opinion than their own. I always find it ridiculous that people get mad at the hosts for anything they say on this show. Plenty of times I disagree too. But it's the interaction of the hosts that is the real jewel here. I am always laughing when I listen to this. Whether it's Cheapy's latest restroom debacle or Wombat saying something dumb and then Shipwreck's "are you nuts?" response, it's always funny. So what difference does it make if they don't like something I like? They've ripped on one of my all time favorite games and I disagreed with every single thing they said about it but I laughed the whole time anyway because of how they said it. It's really a lot like listening to the Howard Stern show, and that's a big compliment to CheapyD. I really do look forward to this show all week long. It'll be a sad day when it finally ends someday.

The Best Gaming Podcast
CheapyD lives in Tokyo, which makes for interesting anecdotes. The format is well-produced and clean-cut, and although they go off-topic, it's never for too long or devolves into a boring unrelated conversation. If you're interested in PC or console games, this is the number one podcast.

I love the CAGcast. Every episode has never disappointed. Cheapy, Wombat and Shipwreck always keep us entertained with the latest news on video game media and the entertaining events that happen in their lives. Combination of both makes their podcast very intriguing. Every week I anxiously await the new episode. I wish I had discovered them when they started out in the very beginning. I believe I started in the late 100's episodes. Been a fan for almost 2 years now. If you love up to date media info on video games, I would recommend the CAGcast. Still my number one from all the others I've listened to.

I have listened to this podcast for years, and Cheapy D is great, occasionally pretty funny and I do enjoy his stories. However, I cannot stand Wombat. I've threatened to unsubscribe for a long time, but then Shipwreck joined full time and HE is the reason I stuck in there longer. But now, my commute has changed so I need less filler. Soon as Wombat opened his mouth I realized I do not need him in my life. I hate to loose the conversations between Ship & Cheapy, but gotta do what I gotta do. Finally unsubscribing.

Figured I'd finally take the time to write up a review after listening to the last hundred episodes or so. Every time I hop in my car and put on a podcast for my daily commute, I'm always excited when there's a new CAGcast -- it goes on unquestionably before anything else. I'm not sure what keeps me coming back though ... maybe it's Shipwreck's detailed reviews of all the indie games I've never heard of, Wombats smart alek quips and sassy attitude, or CheapyD's funny stories and 0 patience for Wombat. I'm sure the podcasts get reptetitive to do but every time I start one up it's like sitting down with some old friends. So, regardless of the topic, it's always entertaining. Keep it up guys ... also, Ship, quit playing PC FPS with an xbox controller ... listen to Cheapy!! He has seen the light!

Shipwreck brings the gaming, Wombat brings the funnies, and Cheapy seems to bring the toilet stories. But I think that somehow in that odd equation, they have figured out the solution to awesomeness. Its not the best gaming podcast ever, but its an awesome podcast for sure.

Don't care for their taste in games
They seem like nice guys, even though Wombat is a little annoying at times. Their conversations are semi-interesting, but their taste in games is a little strange, which is both good and bad. They have turned me on to a few titles I would have not considered otherwise, but for the most part I could not disagree more with their taste in games, and if sales numbers are indicative of a games popularity then the general population of gamers would probably disagree too. They don't seem to be big fans of games like Uncharted, Resident Evil, or Call of Duty. They seem to be fans of more esoteric titles, which is fine but its just a different taste than most. They also don't seem to like the Playstation at all, which is strange because the PS3, by far, has the best exclusives (God of War, Uncharted, Infamous, Ratchet and Clank, Heavy Rain, Killzone, Resistence, Metal Gear Solid, Twisted Metal, Little Big Planet). Its very weird that they don't have at least a couple of favorites out of that group. If you're not into blockbuster titles or you're just looking for something different, then you may really enjoy this podcast. I personally think that there are much better gaming podcasts out there.

Entertaining podcast, for even casual gamers
I've been listening to this podcast for a few years now. Even though I don't game much anymore, I still listen to every show. This is more than just another game podcast, this is more like a radio show that includes talk about games. The personalities, random personal stories, and bad jokes keep it entertaining and set it apart from the typical boring game review podcast.

most things i want it to be, a few that i don't
i like the content, and how it's a good mix of games, fitness, japanese stuff, and sometimes family. i like that when someone makes a bad joke, there's usually silence. i like that many listeners seem to genuinely think ship and cheapy don't like wombat…but don't put together the fact that he wouldn't be on the show if that was true. i don't like (or rather, i don't not not like) that it's over an hour long. i don't know what it is, but i generally don't want to listen to a podcast for so long. at least it's not 2+ hours like some other gaming podcasts. good > bad. that's a win in my book.

Cagcast is my favorite podcast, i listen to many. including 8-4 which is always better when CheapyD is in the house. Whats not to love? I enjoy listening to and respect everyone's gaming opinions on this show. I bought Saints Row 3rd because cheapy said it was a good time, i considered how much fun sailing a boat to the edge of no where would be, and decided against, thank you Shipwreck, and I gave KoA a rental because of Wombat, i mean and im cheap! Cant buy all this stuff. Wombat is always entertaining. And the family talk is always great, i care about Cheapy's bowel and back problems, sad to admit it, but i wonder what Mrs Shipwreck is doing in skyrim. wombat is alway good for family ancedotes. Best video game podcast
Despite Cheapy D's gastointestinal problems, CAGcast continues to be the best gaming podcast, esp since the old Joystiq podcast got reformatted (I still miss the unholy trio of Chris Grant, Ludwig Kietzmann and Justin McElroy; those guys were great). It's weekly, always topical with some extra bits thrown in. Cheapy, Shipwreck, and Wombat have got a good thing, and I hope it lasts a long time. One hell of a show!
i listen to podcast on a weekly basis. The cagcast is one i always look forward to it isnt hust about games CheapyD, Wombat, and shipwreck all have their own lives and they incorporate it to the show. So it makes me feel like we are like old friends who hang out once a week. If i stopped gaming all together i will still download this show each week!

Never dull
I love these guys. Always a interesting show. Lots of helpfull info on new games on all the platforms. They keep you interested with quick witted interaction between the three hosts and they make you feel like your right there at the table with them. Even if I quit gaming I would still keep this show as one of my top weekly podcasts because of the off the wall humor and wit. Keep up the good work gents.

I lasted through the vaguely homophobic banter, and lasted through guest appearances by cheapie's kid every episode. Latest episode, ten minutes in and we're still doing stupid jamaican accents and discussing taking a stool sample. Huh huh! Guys talking about poop! That's hilarious! This show is great when they remember to actually cover games, but I'll use my time elsewhere from now on.

Great video game centric podcast with entertaining personalities
I have been listening to the CAG cast for many years and it still stands as one of my favorite podcasts. The hosts are very entertaining and have quite different personalities. Cheapy D is the main host and has a very laid back attitude, Wombat is the comic relief with great chime-ins and has thoughtful opinions on various topics that come up, Shipwreck is the more nerdy hardcore gamer that gives good reviews and keeps up to date with the new releases and industry knowledge. The addition of Shipwreck to the crew a few years back was a big plus. For a show about video games it rarely gets over technical and can really identify with a more casual audience such as myself. One drawback is that Cheapy D sometimes comes off as un motivated as if he is tired of doing the show, but over the past year he has seemed much more energetic and positive on the Cagcast. I wish they were a little longer but am not complaining, the 1-1.5 hours is fine. Even though the show comes from a website based on video game deals, they do not spend a whole lot of time on that subject which is fine by me. Overall the chemistry is great and the show has many funny moments. I always have and still look forward to the weekly show.

This is my "go to" podcast.
I've been listening to this podcast for about 2 years now. I've got about 25 different podcasts I listen to, but this is the one I look forward to the most. The different personalities that make up the trio of CheapyD, Shipwreck, and Wombat really works is this setting. The general atmosphere is relaxed with large helpings of snark. CheapyD is unflinchingly honest and one can see the large influence that Howard Stern has on his style of presentation. I find Wombat to insightful about the business world and is great at pushing buttons. Shipwreck lends the more professional and detailed analysis of videogames. This combination of informative dialogue and comedy puts this podcast at the top.

Great, but just one thing..
The combination of you three leeds to a relaxed and fun show.. My only issue is the same one Howard Sterns father had with Howard.. Sometimes when you are talking about a game you will go of on to tangents that are both funny and entertaining. The problem with that is when you go back to the game and not mention the game name I get lost.. So please try to mention the game name more often.. Keep up the great work.. Been listening since day One.. Wake..

Best Videogame Podcast, without question...
The key to a good podcast is to be able to identify with the hosts on some level. The vast majority of video game related podcasts are usually loud, obnoxious affairs with multiple "hosts" trying desperately to say something clever but more often than not resorting to some inane profanity that that makes it clear what their maturity level is. While I enjoy the occasional inappropriate remark here and there, when it becomes the centerpiece of your whole show it just becomes exhausting, and not fun...or funny. CheapyD and Wombat skew a little older (I'm not sure how old Shipwreck is but i'm guessing late twenties, even though his pictures make him look 12). There is a great dynamic on this podcast. CheapyD is intolerant of mediocrity and keeps the show moving at a nice clip, Wombat thinks he's much funnier than he actually is which actually makes him hilarious (very meta I know), and Shipwreck with his Aw Shucks, bible belt, 1000 video games a year, demeanor is a great counterbalance to Cheapy and Wombats much more cynical, yet realistic, view of the industry and life in general. If you're looking for a podcast that won't make you want to gouge your ears out, the Cagcast can't be beat.

I want to like the podcast but the real problem is that the hosts mistakenly think they are hilarious comedians, especially the one with the wacky, goofy voice... In fact the humor is annoying and lame - and not in a funny way. Stay away from this one.

One of my favorite podcasts. Yes, Cheapy I finally remebered to leave a review to combat the troll haterz. It's a very polished show. I originally stumbled upon the site looking for game deals, and was pleasantly suprised at the awesomeness that the podcast exudes. CheapyD, Wombat and Shipwreck have great chemistry and it is always entertaining to listen to them poke fun at each other, provide their honest feedback on games, and tell hilarious stories about Dream Dinners and Japanese Spiders. This show features CheapyD from Japan and Wombat from NYC talking about their love and hate of videogames and videogame companies. The shows are a great way to pass time while waiting for a pizza to be delivered or while watching paint dry. I started listening to these guys when 8-4's podcast mentioned CheapyD. I have not only listened to all of their new episodes, but I have gone back to listen to all of their old episodes as well. (I work 10 hour days, so I have a lot of time to listen to podcasts.) I find their tastes in video games almost completely opposite of my own (for example, I beat GTA IV three times), but the way they get along is hilarious! I love the stories about where they live and how their days have been. They always have a way to make everything they talk about entertaining! Also, I joined the website and even made a trade on the marketplace. They are generous, as they hold contests often, and donate to charity every year. These guys are great, so definitely check them out! And, check out the website too!

Believe it or not I stumbled onto this show on the 100th episode. It was a clips show, the only one of it's kind I believe. Since that jubilant day (or should I say Jew-bilant) I have never missed an episode. On more than one occasion I have be drawn to tears of laughter. What a great matchup of individuals. Cheapy and Wombat make listening to people talk about games interesting and funny. A great, and often scatological, podcast.
I fell in love with the Cagcast two years ago. Since then I have gone back and listened to every episode. While they aren't all winners, the Cagcast is still one of the best video game podcasts out there. Cheapy, Wombat, and Shipwreck always bring fresh opinions to the table in a world of stale video game podcasts. However, if you are grossed out, or too mature for in depth poo talk, take yourself else where. Great show, I look foward to it every week.

But when I do, I do it for my favorite podcast. I've been listening for years now and this podcast is the one I really look forward to. The personalities of CheapyD, Wombat, and Shipwreck have all grown on me and I love the different opinions. From white guy in Japan with kid, Jewish guy in NY with 2 kids, and white basketball coach guy from Ohio...all bring something different and unique to the table. Keep it up guys...P.S...add more Wombat singing the Wii Store theme to things. That always made me laugh.

Stop wasting my time
Decided to give this show after a friend's recommendation. Started listening to episode 243 and, 15 minutes in, realized that they had not yet started talking about games. FAIL. I don't mind long podcasts, so long as they're packed w/ relevant info and useful commentary.

No Good Anymore
Cheapy used to be funny and used to like doing this show, you can tell he doesn't care anymore. His opinions on topics are usually dumb and he is a fanboy but pretends to like all three systems. I don't care if he doesnt but at least admit it. He hates Nintendo and pretty much hates Sony. Wombat is pretty smart overall and is wasting his time on this show. He talks about the things he buys way too much, for a site dedicated to discount gaming he shouldn't brag so much about his purchases and the show sometimes misses weeks and misses days on their schedule. If you want an actual podcast, go listen to Bombcast.

Good for deals and obscure release info
One lives in Japan, another in NY, and the other jumped on because he knows more about video games and pop culture than the other two. Imagine your 35-year-old uncle, still trapped in the 90s, having a couple of guys over to watch porn and smoke weed--replace porn with video game boobs and smoke weed with discuss Jewish food and Japanese sex hotels--and you have a good understanding of 80% of CAGcast. Once one gets past the Jewish references, gay jokes, bowel movement updates, and soccer-mom talk between grown men, the cast focuses primarily on marketplace games and in-store deals, with the occasional major release discussion--which usually aren't reviews as much as a discussion on what the video game community thinks, and insight on any sexual content. Despite CheapyD's goofy laugh and frequently verbal abuse of Wombat, Shipwreck seems to know a little something about the industry, and so I keep listening. That and the website is a good place to go for deals.

Cagcast Blows!
I used to love the CAGcast but since have ventured out and found what a real video game podcast should be like (see Giantbomb, Joystiq, Podcast Beyond and Rebel FM). The only person whom is even knowledgeable enough about video games (Shipwreck) is drowned out by the 360 fanboy/site creater CheapyD and lacky Wombat. Wombat is horrible, but Cheapy takes the cake for his arrogant comments and lack of any real game industry news. I truly wish Shipwreck would leave and start his own gig since it's obvious that Cheapy is sitting back and raking in a paycheck for a website that is solely community driven; when was the last time Cheapy actually found a deal by himself? He doesn't... He takes everyone elses work and calls it his own. Wombat, you just need to find another gig.... This isn't your cup of tea, well... you'd just take someone elses tea anyway (like when he ate off of Cheapy's plate). A little suggestion... Why don't you guys just change your podcast format to an Xbox only podcast, at least at that point I could kind of get behind your one sidedness that you all have with bashing the ps3 all the time. You could also be somewhat consistent with putting out a show and given that the latest show was only 45 minutes proves my point that you don't have any other mindless dribble to come up with or steal from someone elses stories.

One of Best PodCasts out there
Out of all the podcasts that I have listened to, Cagcast is one I try to listen to every week. The trio are close and do know what they are talking about. They do give each system its fair share of faults, even if it seems that they like the 360 better. And they would be talking smack about the 360 if the roles were switched around. Definitely love the humor and is always a pleasant listen to from the daily grind of just listening to music over and over again.

Great
I listen to this podcast half for the information, half for the personalities/humor. It's not super high-energy which personally wears on my nerves. It sounds real...like a bunch of men sitting around talking about their passion, which is what it is. . It won't be for everyone with sometimes vulgar/"low brow" humor, but hey...vulgar and "low brow" is right up my ally on most days. I really like the way each person has there own opinion and unique view as I have learned which one(s) share my general preferences on different types of media (which means I have a pretty good idea about how much I'll like something after hearing it discussed). A lot better than some video game podcasts where there is a forced sense of excitment and star a group of dudes who all sound alike and all think alike about practically every game and general topic. Viva La Wombat Revelution!

The best videogame podcast
The 3 hosts really are wildly different in their personalities but play off of each other really well. It doesn't have annoyingly intrusive sound effects like a terrible morning talk show and the production values are the best you'll find in the genre. They use real mics and the editing goal is to have the best sound quality by local recordings and none of the skype BS that most podcasts have. They don't cover all of the news but they also don't miss anything important. It doesn't matter if you are a hardcore or casual gamer this show is always entertaining. Warning poop jokes are included, always immature and always hilarious.

Simply the Best
This is definitely the best gaming podcast out there. Cheapy is hilarious and a great host, Shipwreck is very knowledgeable about games (he plays every freakin one), and, even though he can be annoying at times, Wombat does make me laugh every now and then. Whether it be excellent coverage of the latest gaming news story, or an update of Cheapy's latest exploit in Japan, the Cagcast has it covered.

Wombat talks bout Video game news and stuff releated to video games, he has his funny skits called developer theatre and provides a good insight and theories on the video game indusrty. The cagcast crew complement each other well and discuss many things in detail from a good perspective so that each opinion you hear is from them and you can relate to them as they are the average joes of gaming who work well together. Topics include industry news, rumors, controversies, Sony , Microsoft, Nintendo, Apple (iphone releated games) and much more. One of the best podcasts ever!
I've been a listener of the podcast since the beginning: before Cheapy's life in Japan, before their lives with children, and before the 3-man show we know today. It has only gotten better with age. It's certainly one of the longest running shows on the Internet, and while other shows have come and gone, the CAGCast -- like the cockroach or The Little Engine That Could (both are compliments, mind you) -- continues on. It always brings a smile to my face to see a new CAGCast podcast on my MP3 player.

Personality Plus Gaming!
This was my first podcast, and though I've tried other gaming show since, I keep coming back. The eclectic blend of personalities (likeable comic/gaming dork, candid/acerbic host, and dry-witted anal dude) really makes this show unique. Though the news/reviews etc. are far from comprehensive, the topics they do choose to focus on are always engaging and their everyman approach to the games industry and its prices is genuine and fun.

These guys don't take themselves too seriously, yet they share insightful commentary on not only video games, but fatherhood and everyday experiences. A PodCast that Deserves at Least One Listen
The most diverse podcasting trio in the business giving their unadulterated opinions on all the newest video games. After over 200 they still stay fresh and remain my personal favorite podcast since 2006 by far. This is a crazy podcast filled with always in-bad-taste black humor and out-of-date movie references and if you are reading this, that is probably the kind of stuff you're into so I can guarantee you will just love it. If any podcast deserves at least one listen, this is that podcast.

Best All-Round Gaming Podcast

My opinion
I have just got my first iPod touch and I like to listen to audiobooks while I work, My book ended and so I headed to Itunes to check out some podcasts to stream to fill the void. I listened to a few different casts on gaming and although the format of this podcast is similiar to others on iTunes I was pleasantly surprised by the connection I felt while listening to these guys. The three hosts all have different personality traits yet seem to create genuinely interesting gaming based disscussions/debates covering all gaming platforms. while at times they lose some direction with the particular topic they always seem to make it entertaining and informative. I will be sure to subscribe to this podcast in the future to see where it goes and look forward to hearing what these guys have to say.

Informative AND entertaining
Thoroughly entertaining news, reviews and discussions of video games, the gaming industry and various related topics generally targeted at a somewhat more mature audience. They do try to keep it fair and relevant while still offering their personal opinions, so don't be surprised if you disagree with the direction of conversation. One big plus, CheapyD, Wombat and Shipwreck regularly interatct with listeners on the CAG site's forums, with listener feedback in every episode. I don't keep up with any other podcasts, so I can't offer any comparisons, but that's saying something in and of itself, isn't it?

Fun, Irreverant Gaming Podcast
I have been a CAGcast listener for several years, and can attest to the quality and enjoyability of the show. CheapyD and Wombat have perfected their chemistry, and the somewhat recent introduction of consumate gaming geek Shipwreck has added the sometimes-missing seriousness to their discussions. Always humerous, frequently irreverant, and occasionally thought provoking, the CAGcast is an excellent way to spend ninety minutes a week with three friends who love gaming and gaming culture.

CAGcast Super Show
CheapyD the fearless leader and all around swell guy has a penchant for saying the right thing at the right time to get Wombat and shipwreck motivated. Wombat is strong willed and capable of leading the CAGcast that sometimes causes friction between CheapD and Wombat. But, Wombat never goes down without a fight and will often not know when to throw in the towel. Shipwreck is friendly, and kind hearted but can often be more than a little sarcastic which is another noteworthy breakthrough achievement for this marvelous crew. I look forward to a new show each week to see what the trio will bring to the table.

Great podcast
This is a quality podcast with informative gaming chat mixed with a Howard stern show esque level of human honesty. Listening to the Cagcast is like hanging out with 3 friends chatting about gaming and the occasional poop topic. The show never feels as if you are being talked At or pushed information, with the Cagcast things have an organic flow to them. You get insider previews of games, solid reviews you can relate to after getting to know each member of the show then finally find where to get the best bargain on the games. The members of the Cagcast never seem forced to get together or even get along as other podcasts. This level of human drama creates a natural conversation rather than a rehearsed script reading season. Most shows would edit out the random fart or stop the recording when someone spills water. The Cagcast goes on and captures this insight of having 3 people in a fun informative discussion. In a nutshell: Cagcast is 3 like minded nerds hanging out discussing all things video games, Star Wars, Robocop, Poop and helping you get great bargains on video games.

Feels like listening to my friends and I discuss gaming
This is definitely one of my favorite podcasts. Being 35 a dad and a gamer it is nice to hear them not only speak about gaming but about life in general. The stories they tell and the references they make throughout the podcast always keep a smile on my face. Even my wife laughs when she overhears some of the things they are talking about. I also personally like when Wombat speaks about Long Island since I'm from the area (Babylon)and I know all the places he mentions. BTW, when did Sunrise Mall become a tragic waste of space? Helps me get through the week.
I'm a stay at home dad with a lot of time on my hands so it's nice to have a podcast playing while I chase the kids around. Cheapy, Wombat, and Shipwreck have valid discussions concerning the gaming world and their personal lives. I recommend this podcast for anyone into gaming or just enjoy general discussions. True Game Fans: Funny and Irreverent
I listen to a lot of game and tech Podasts. The way I know that CAG is a one of favorites is that I look forward to seeing the logo appear on my ipod. When it does, its always the next one I play. The cast is now fully rounded out by 3 very different personalities and the back and forth between them keeps things interesting. You've got the "Alpha Dog" (Cheapy) who tends to keep the blue humor alive and well by focusing on such game related topics as poop and feminine hygiene (maybe a bit too often). But he is the driver of the show and underneath it all, he seems to have a true respect and love of the gaming industry. He also lives in Japan which is often a big factor in his many humorous antidotes. Then you have the "Winy New Yorker" (Wombat). No offence Wombat, I am on your side 100%. Go team Wombat! He is sort of the underdog of the show. He is often the comic relief and often the comic fall guy. When he and Cheapy really get into a topic, it often borderlines on tense but honest disputes. It really brings out their differences in personality and is quite entertaining. He is also willing to throw out 10 bad jokes just to get that 1 good laugh and I truly respect that. The newest addition is the "Nice Guy" (Shipwreck). Easily the most habitual (to avoid the dumb term hardcore) gamer in the group. The shear number of games he plays (and finishes) will put most gamers to shame. He also plays more niche games that would not get coverage otherwise. He has knowledgeable incite into many games and often provides the most "game" related content that the show would otherwise be a lacking. He is also the least temperamental of the group and simply avoids all opportunity to get between the other two. If the idea of hearing some very different personalities come together and discus games and a bunch of nonsense. This may be your podcast. They have been doing this for a long time and they really have a great rhythm and are very funny at times.

Great Podcast and Great Hosts
First and foremost this a great source of video game news and reviews. I appreciate the hosts reparte and friendly banter. But what I enjoy is Cheapy's "Man in Japan" segments. I really like hearing about how he is interacting with the Japanese culture. I enjoy the news, reviews, and tips on how to get my games on the cheap.

Entertaining
I've tried listening to different gaming podcasts and I just can't get into any of them with the exception of the CAGcast. The show doesn't take itself too seriously which makes it easier to listen to. The show has plenty of non-gaming discussions in the beginning of the show and they range from hilarious terrible, its really hit or miss but the hits make them worth it in my opinion. After listening to a few episodes you'll know exactly what games the hosts will like and won't like which make it a bit pointless if you want a true unbiased opinion about games, so game discussion is usually the same pretty much every time. The shows strengths are definitely in the chemsitry between the hosts and is overall entertaining to listen to, while not a great podcast its not a bad one either, if you can sit through the mediocre segments or episodes you'll have a great time with the good segments and episodes.

I've been listening to this podcast since before the 360/ps3/wii generation, and it has stood the test of time. Cheapy D's vision of Stern-like talk of gaming is brilliantly brought to life. I look forward to this each week unlike any other podcast. Cheapy, Wombat, and (now) Shipwreck provide an entertaining show not just about games, but also about some of their (mis)adventures in everyday life. Btw, Cheapy, you should sell that iPad jingle of Tai's to Apple.

The best podcast for game deals
It's got weekly release news and info about game deals. Great way to keep up to date on what to buy and how to buy it cheap -- *plus* it's entertaining! Cheapy's a great guy. This is a great cast.

great game podcast
I like this podcast because the crew is technically not in the game industry but you could tell they would like to be . they have a consumer take on the video game podcast many times they go off topic into their personal lives or experiences and thats pretty good.cheapy d's video game web site has saved me alot of money over the yearsand is a valuable service.

best gaming podcast for casual gamers!!! Ive been listeing to cheapyD and wombat and now shipwreck for approximately 3-4 years and its the only podcast that I still continue to listen to. Great job!
