Alex is the best interviewer
I love Alex’s questions and he always sticks to the goal of the show: cool headed and nuisanced conversation. One of my essential podcasts.

I don’t miss an episode
Alex’s depth of reporting experience shows in his ability to ask hard hitting questions. I like that I can never really tell exactly where he stands on issues. It keeps the episodes honest and nuanced. Often while I am listening I think “that is exactly the question I was hoping you would hit them with”. Unquestionably one of the best interviewers in tech.

Interview with Tristan
I was disappointed with how combative Alex was for this interview The guest was quite accepting of alternate ideas but the host kept interrupting to force what he wanted to say

Hilarious
Listening to the most recent episode about Musk buying Twitter and the pretzel-twisting failure you two did to explain it was hilarious. You know exactly why he’s buying it: Twitter censors speech. That frustrates Musk and more people than you’re willing to admit on your stroke-cast. Good luck with your line of thinking.

Nuanced and Informative
I heartily recommend adding Alex Kantrowitz’ Big Technology to your must-hear podcast shortlist for many reasons. 1. Big Technology is always insightful and informative, thanks to highly knowledgeable guests 2. Alex’ podcast is not just about Big Tech (as if that isn’t interesting enough) but also sprinkles in topical discussions on the economy at large and geopolitics 3. This is big… unlike other unnamed podcasts (but you know who they are) Alex guides his guests to explain complex topics by asking the kind of questions we all have, rather than questions designed to make him look smart. He’s also not afraid to interject his opinion on occasion, but does so in a way that helps convey the nuances associated with complex tech issues. 4. …And did I mention Alex’ calming, mellifluous podcast voice? Sign up for Big Technology! You’ll be glad you did.

Insightful and Thoughtprovoking!
First time listener! Thoroughly enjoyed the discussion with Brian Morrissey about the move away from writing for algorithms and the creator economy. I hadn’t really considered the scaling problem that will come for content creators who build relationships with their audiences - there’s only so much “personalization” a machine can do to build an authentic connection. Looking forward to listening to more of your podcasts which are now part of my regular rotation.

A nuanced, *actually* balanced take on Big Tech
I appreciate that Alex is attempting to do something rare in the marketplace: provide a “cool-headed, nuanced look” at the technology-based forces that are shaping our world. He has his biases and assumptions, but they come from being a sharp observer of the space, with access to some of the most importa’t voices in the field. I'm a faithful listener, and appreciate his efforts to go beyond the gotcha headlines to get into the meat of the matters around regulating, breaking up, and possibly reigning in, Big Technology.

Conversations erudite and thought-provoking, bringing many concepts into laymen’s terms
Since subscribing, I have enjoyed playing catch up with past episodes while staying up on recent uploads, all the while learning, laughing, definitively not laughing, and challenging myself to go deeper into my understanding of the topics brought forth in each conversation. I cannot recommend enough giving any of these a listen. Thank you!

Unique Perspectives
Alex has great first hand experience with the major technology companies. His depth in technology, his practical approach and his incredible network being a unique perspective to the societal, business, political and cultural implications for technology. This podcast isn’t for the traditional technologist but rather for those looking for the bigger implications of technology on the world. This one is a can’t miss weekly for me!

Dr. Nirit Weiss-Blatt, PhD
The best conversations about tech are the nuanced ones. The debate between Kevin Roose and Mark Ledwich (episode 23 from January 6, 2021) is a clear example of that. Highly recommend.

Made my head explode...with pleasure!
What’s not to like? Alex is a super-intelligent, compelling host with the silky-smooth voice of a late night public radio personality. He knows tech, Silicon Valley and the business world more then any journalist I’ve heard. He gets great guests and asks insightful questions. I would give this podcast 10 stars if I could.
