Stop clicking your pen!!!
Love the content but as soon as he starts clicking his pen multiple times per minute it gets so distracting I have to stop listening. Only made it 10 minutes in to any episode so far. Just put the pen down man!

Good show but...
Anyone who suffers from mesophonia will be annoyed by Brad’s penchant for speaking and then sniffing immediately afterwards. Maybe a breath intake, a tic or a runny nose but it endures throughout the series.

More
We need more of this podcast. Once a week or even twice a month. We want more aimed at helping the home brewer achieve a good beer.

Annoying host
Generally really nice topics and host/guests are very knowledgeable. However, Brad talks over his hosts a lot and for whatever reason, I find it extremely annoying. Let your guests speak.

Premier Beer Podcast
Brad Smith is a beer and brewing guru with a very professional podcast. I think this may be the best beer podcast going although Brülosophy is great too. I have learned much from listening to Brad. He has really knowledgeable guests, although sometimes I wonder if Brad knows the topic better than his expert guests. Great job Brad! I have outfitted much of my equipment based on Brad’s recommendation and have not been let down.

Good info oddly presented
I love BeerSmith software and think Brad is a great guy providing a great service. His guests are great, but his interview style leaves much to be desired.

Nitrogen tap
Love the podcast and have been listening and learning for a few years! One topic I’d live to see is Nitro beers!

Painful to listen to
I don't feel like Brad is actively involved in his own interviews. Brad will ask his guest a question, and within the answer, his guest will also answer the next question. But, it doesn't register with Brad, and he asks the question anyway. It's like he has a set list of questions he's running down, and he's preoccupied with something else that he's not listening to the answers. Plus, his voice comes across in a way that he is not an active listener/participant in his own show. I find this to be rude to his guests and very infuriating/frustrating to listen to.

Great Software!
The guests on the show are of high quality. The host isn’t especially dynamic. It always seems like an awkward conversation. That’s being said it’s still a regular listen for me just not my favorite.

Great interviews!
Brad, I love your podcast as much as I love Beersmith! Wonderful interviews and great insight in homebrewing and the world of craft beer! If you’re into homebrewing and not listening to this podcast, you’re missing out.

Good content but needs some editing
Brad puts out great information on his cast, I enjoy it. Three things I think would really improve the cast: some post-editing to remove the throat clearing and odd pauses. Stop talking over your guests Maybe a 5 minute segment on the actual software: tips, tricks, how to’s, etc.

One of the best homebrew shows.
I have listened to nearly all of the shows over the past 2-3 years and never miss a new episode. With a straight laced personality, Brad’s show is more of an informative and educational format than it is entertaining. He gets down to business quickly with his guests and there is very little idle chit-chat not related to the topic at hand— I appreciate that! Brad continues to secure interviews with top notch brewers, writers, professors, etc., many of which have been on the show several times over the years. Always something to take away from his episodes. Keep up the solid work!

Beer Smith Set Me Up for Success
Have you heard the normal stories of new brewers having to dump a batch of hard earned beer because it failed in one way or another. I haven't always made great beer (I am 7 batches in to my all - grain career) but it is always solid and drinkable. So much information from Brad! Thanks.

Great information, but let the guest finish first!
Lots of great information from this podcast. Loved hearing about Mike Mraz's rise from home brewer to pro brewer. Would have given 5 stars, but Brad Smith needs to learn to stop interrupting his guests. He continually talks over his guests, and usually does not add anything to the conversation with his interruptions. Let the guest speak and finish their thoughts before adding yours.

Great podcast. It he sniffs into the mic after every time he talks. I don't want to be rude, but hey...there it is...

Mature and Thought-provoking
Brad Smith consistently brings mature and thorough discussions on a variety of industry and home brewing topics. He avoids the repetitiveness of other home-brewing or beer industry podcast formats and more importantly, he avoids the sophomoric slant of many of those other podcasts.

One of the best sources for home brewing information.
I have now been home brewing for about a year, and this podcast has not only given me some of the basics, but touched on many other advanced topics. The format is very easy to listen to, and the guests are all top notch.

LOVE THE PODCAST BUT AUDIO IS ANNOYING
I've been listening to this podcast for a while now and I love the info, as a beer nerd (or just a nerd in general) I truly enjoy the detail and specs that go into interviewing these great guests. However, I know that since these folks don't actually meet they have to interview over their internet connection, the audio lag makes it EXTREMELY annoying. If you could fix this I would give it a 5.

Informative if a bit dry.
Brad Smith packs a lot of info into every episode, and he often has great guests. He does, however, lack the skills of an engaging interviewer. It sounds like he has a list of questions to ask, and never strays from those questions even when the conversation may take a more interesting turn. It can make for some awkward interviews. I do appreciate the low-key, straighforward vibe of the podcast.

Too much interruption
Good information. Great beer program, which I use often. However the podcast is very hard to listen to mainly die to how consistently the host interrupts the guest when they are speaking. If that could change I could continue listening. Maybe just a pet peeve of mine, so give it a try for yourself.

Simply the best!
There are a bunch of podcast out there on brewing, homebrewing, beer, etc, but Beer Smith is by far the best one I have listened to. Brad is very knowledgeable himself and he does a great job of finding experts to come in and speak as guests on his show.

For those that won't settle for mediocrity
My only complaint is that there aren't more to listen to. Keep cranking these out! Please. Love the show. It really delves into the intricacies of homebrewing and I love that. Brewing can be simple and this show acknowledges that but unlike other shows Beersmith often goes beyond the simple exterior and really breaks down the aspects of beer and brewing that we all take for granted. I am a smarter homebrewer for listening to Beersmith and you can too!

Excellent guests, well worth a listen for Homebrewers old, and new.
I just got into homebrewing this year, and I'm not big on reading. I've skimmed through some of the essential classics, like Papazian, but just for the parts on all-grain. The podcast made it really easy to get firsthand knowledge from some really cool guests. And if you haven't tried it out already, the host of this podcast has really put some hard work into his software package, BeerSmith. Thanks for the podcast, keep 'em coming!!! Episodes 8, 10, 14, and 17 are a must!

Intelligent discussions
I stumbled upon this in iTunes. I have been wanting to start home brewing and looking to soak up as much info as possible. This is great. It's not dumbed down in the least. I would recommend this for beginners and seasoned veterans alike. I hope this podcast keeps churning out great episodes with interesting interviews from all parts of the beer industry

Great craft beer and homebrewing podcast
I'm a huge craft beer geek, and honestly most craft beer podcasts are pretty bad. This one, though, is consistently a high level of intelligent dialogue about beer and homebrewing. While if you are a homebrewer, it will certainly have things you'll appreciate, you absolutely don't need to be a homebrewer to enjoy it. Brad's a very good interviewer who (so far) has had on interesting guests with new things to say. They avoid the traps of talking about their opinions, and instead focus on pretty cool craft beer topics.
