Best comedy podcast ever!

I saw a clip on Instagram of the bad friends pod and decided to download an episode. That was 2 months ago, I’ve now listened to every single one. Bobby is hilariously chaotic, he pushes the podcast into brilliant directions, and he is continuously laugh out loud funny. Santino is brilliant in his thinking, perfectly timed funny, strangely caring towards Bobby (which makes santino strangely attractive) and surprising in his contentious world views. They challenge each other to dive into topics that aren’t always easy to discuss but they do so in a thoughtful and funny way.

This show is a tough listen since Doc came on board. He seems like a nice guy, but isn’t too funny and really kills the shows energy. Plus, the only time he’s bearable is when he’s drunk or getting drunk on the podcast. Hopefully they return to the old format or maybe consider replacing Doc with Erik Griffin Ps. I mean guest like him, yannis, segura, should be on here way more. Not in a interview style podcast, but just the way you guys have been doing it with these guest. Still over Doc

Guys, I know you’re to help Doc out but its brutalllll. I too hand unsubscribed only to try again after seeing a few Doc-less episodes, but I’m out again. Rudy being terrible is OK, she isn’t a comedian and is a kid and immigrant, that’s part of the charm of her. Not the same with Doc, won’t say anymore than that.

Not as good anymore

Ever since they got Doc, they literally just use him as a punching bag. Using him as a lightening rod for jokes when they never had any topics to go on is where they started, but to make fun of his family member that’s murdered… on top to actually claim he was the killer in some way… I used to watch this for comedy but now I can’t watch without cringing

Used to make me laugh…now…not so much

I used to absolutely love their podcast…I mean I recommended it to everyone I spoke to because I would find myself crying laughing in my car, which made working home health so much easier…recently…something has been off. Idk if popularity got to their heads and they felt like they didn’t need to try as hard or if they ran out of topics to talk about, but I feel like I now find myself with a disgust look on my face when I listen to them and not laughing anymore…until I just switch it to a murder podcast instead. I used to love when it was just Bobby and Andrew!! They were hilarious together! Even the recent live show they posted, it seemed like they were not prepared and panicking to come up with things to talk about…at first I thought it was the live show they talked about bombing because they just came up with random immature boy stunts/scenarios and where did Jim Jefferies go? He was introduced and then…gone! They’ve got to bring back the old Andrew and Bobby talks and stop exhausting jokes, bringing on guests that don’t even talk, and prepare some more.

Andrew and Bobby have a unique chemistry that perhaps anyone with a dysfunctional friendship can relate to. Andrew is the sharp tongued, fast talking hot head that can dish out as well as he takes. It’s especially amusing when he loses his cool and starts yelling. Bobby…. Is the part of the show I love to hate. His personality is… insufferable. He turns EVERYTHING around to paint himself as the victim. Very rarely does he admit he’s wrong. If I’m being honest, he’s the reason why I decided to write this review. I can’t stand him as a person. He is the textbook definition of the victim mentality paired with manipulation. Here’s the thing though: the show wouldn’t be the show without the mingling of their personalities… which is obviously where the show gets it’s name. The interactions these two have, along with how well they play off each other is great. Bobby does an amazing job at pushing Andrew’s buttons, and his goofy sense of humor with improv keeps things moving. Andrew chips away at Bobby’s self-esteem and vulnerabilities in response. Both of them have their own unique sense of comedy that blends well together. Everyone else is pretty much fodder to their whims and gets drawn into their arguments. That’s not to say they don’t add anything (Rudy, George, Fancy B), but these two obviously take center stage. Plenty of skits with their involvement that add to the overall presentation. If you want some laughs in the background of your day, it’s definitely worth a shot.

My top 3 comedy podcast of all time are DVDASA, Congratulations (d’elia), and Bad Friends. Since DVDASA and D'elia are both gone, that would actually make Bad Friends #1. Here's why: 1. The banter and energy between Bob and Andy is tenuous yet loving. It's a great frenemies kind of relationship 2. Their unique ability to be a little racist and offensive without actually being racist and offensive is super tough to do, and they totally pull it off. I'm Asian and think the jokes about us are hilarious. 3. The fact that Bob can't say Andres' name correctly. It's "on - DRESS" not "on - DRAYess". He can't even say his producer's name correctly and that speaks to just how clueless Bob is, but in the most funny way. Thanks for brightening up my Mondays.

Great pod but..

Great podcast. Would recommend to friends but two things bother me 1) Random edits. It feels like a high school student had just discovered iMovie. People listen in for Bob and Andrew and them two bring enough content as it is. All that other stuff is unnecessary and annoying at times. 2) Sound mixing. Volume level is all over the place. Jules gets a lot of blame for not speaking into the mic but Bob is guilty of the same thing. The whispers that are followed by yelling are very frustrating as I mostly listen to this pod when I’m driving. This and Belly both have the same issue. I think most people that listen to the audio version will agree with me on these two points. Hopefully I will be able to up my rating to 5 stars as these two issues get resolved. Thanks.

Bad Friends Review

Easily the best podcast I’ve ever listened to. Truly is the only thing I listen to in the car, at home, while making love, etc. I didn’t know much about Bobby or Andrew before this I had seen them a few times and thought they were funny but after watching this podcast I feel like I’ve known them my whole life. Funniest people ever and there really isn’t a better podcast available.

By far my favorite podcast. I love everyone that appears on the show. You can tell Andrew puts a lot of effort into the podcast and he does an awesome job. I actually think George’s laugh in the background is hilarious. I love when Bobby flips out and yells; however, I do find it pretty hypocritical to give Rudy a hard time about the mic. Bobby is all over the place with how loud and close he talks to the mic. Their podcast is a great balance of performance and keeping it genuine at the same time. Love it!

So so

I wanted to like this, listened for about 6 months but it’s just never as funny as tigerbelly. They should just add Rudy to TB and be done with it. Nothing against Santino but it just doesn’t click with the two of them as fluidly as they’d like. Wonder how the Bobby/Theo scripted show will be. Hopefully won’t suffer from same vibe as this show.

Bobby Lee you are the best!! You saved me from having leg cramps!! It’s so true licking my finger and wiping my nose 3 times has saved me from having leg cramps! I get them at least 2 times a week. It really works I am sooooo amazed. Wish I new about it before I was pregnant with my kids because I had cramps everyday being pregnant. Andrew is also amazing this podcast is so funny and great to watch.😁
