Less Nick Henderson and Chris Davis(and also Nolan Hedstrom)
Brad and Krispy put up with their lesser counterparts once a week for our entertainment but it is truly a torturous ear dicking, maybe just play games yourself and skip this part of the process.

Has Great Potential
I have been listening to this show, off-and-on, since 2010. They were at their best when they stuck to discussing the games they liked. The in-jokes, political talk, and discussion of other topics is… harmful to both the flow and content of the show. Stick to games, maybe mock each other less, and just tell us about the latest & greatest you e played in vidya games!

Some things never change.
I’ve been listening to this podcast for many years and it’s one of those shows that never seems to evolve or grow up but it’s still enjoyable much of the time. They are at times very spoily and while they do give a warning it is often very short before they jump right into it and even on things that are new. Probably one of my least favorite things about the show is the guests they have on fairly often, at least half of them add nothing to the show and in fact, detract from it with weird tangents. It seems like a show that is stuck in the past, which seems to work for their community as they to also feel stuck in the past and haven’t quite evolved in a way.Overall I would say give the show try and if they’re weird brand of humor strikes you then you may enjoy the show, I just wish they would do more of what makes the show good and not what is keeping them where they are.

Great banter, no annoying ad breaks
I find a lot of video game podcasters annoying, but these guys strike the right balance between joking around and discussing what’s good or bad about the games they’re playing. Plus you don’t have to endure or skip past a bunch of super annoying ad breaks.

Werewolf Masturbating in a Flower Bed
I feel this show is best described as a werewolf masturbating in a flower bed. It is strange, unexpected, and you may not understand what or why it is happening. Nevertheless, there is a disturbing beauty that is impossible to look away from; and you might even learn something about yourself for liking it. May your podcast garden forever grow from this magic moisture.

Good Gaming Podcast...
4Player Podcast is full of gamers who know their stuff, they put many other podcasters to shame with the sheer content they put out on such a limited budget. However with all things comes a catch, and that catch is the man named Chris Davis. You liekly won't catch it during the actual recording, but this man is a very toxic part of the community, and can deter many a newcomer. Chris has an uncaring and downright brash attitude towards chatters when he streams, and will often have the moderators silence anyone who disagrees with his opinions or choices. Besides this point, 4PP is a great podcast to listen to.

Hands down the best gaming podcasts out there
I've tried listening to quite a few gaming podcasts and this is the only one that truly satisfies my thirst. Not only are they extremely informative on everything going on in the gaming world but they also go remarkably in-depth with all of their impressions on the games they play. It feels like listening to a group of friends talk about video games. Feeling lonely? Just pop on a 4PP podcast and they're cheer you right up.

I 1st heard of 4player back in my high school days and are the reason I ever learned about podcasts in the 1st place. They always maintain a nice schedule of gaming and discussions that other high end reviews tend to forget about. I'd totally recommend checking this podcast out.

These guys are the only voice I trust about video games anymore. They put this show on for us out of a love of video games rather than a love of money. I've been a loyal fan for over 5 years now. Each week is like a great hangout with pals rather than a litany of complaints and criticisms about the video game industry.

This is a gaming podcast that strikes the right balance of amateur and professional. A fair amount of funny off topic talking and joking, but they always get back to what the podcast is about. A favorite
Lots of video game podcasts are a group of friends jovially having a conversation. 4PP’s strength is that it manages to make the listener feel as if they’re part of that conversation. While the production quality of the show is top-notch, the hosts don’t feel like media-trained speakers. Individual foibles and qualities come through and give the show a gregarious touch.

Congrats sir and or madam, look no further. If you be in the search for current and entertaining gaming news, with a side of tangents and occasional shenanigans, you are in the right place. 4 Player podcast is without a doubt, the highlight of my work week. The hosts are without a doubt, the most tightly knit and well balanced cast of any podcast I’ve ever come across. Their corresponding site and listener base is an amazing community, and they as hosts do an even better job of making themselves accessible to us. It’s a great back and forth process between listening, Q and A, and the future episodes to follow. So do it. Jump down the rabbit hole and take a listen. Stay for a while. Honestly, I get a lot of crap for not playing games a lot, but thanks to these guys, I keep up and have actually learned a lot more about games (and life) in the past couple years I’ve been watching/listening to these guys. They also cast games on Twitch and their live page, and honestly have something for everyone: from the casual gamer to the elitist. The guys are super friendly and always willing to listen to their audience to bring about discussion and healthy debate about games and other tangents, as well as criticism as to how they can improve the visual and audio experience for everyone. Consistently Adequate
4player Podcast is ear sex and my brain is filled with their illegitimate love spawn. Whether you are listening to Nick fruitlessly try to maintain control over his insubordinate subordinates in the main 4PP podcast, or letting Joseph defile your ear vagina with his word penis and convincing you you like it on Cocktail Time, you will be glad you took a few hours out of your week to download this and get up to date information on the latest games from gamers who game, or just pretend to and do a decent job at it. Contrary to popular belief, they are not a porn site.

Like yelling? Tune in here
I am kind of getting into these game podcasts and I am always searching for new ones. This one opens with a nice sounding fellow asking politely for listeners to suscribe to help his podcast grow. I thought that sounded like a good idea--until the podcast started. I was treated to three guys talking, mic levels kind of poor so I turned it up, only to be screamed at repeatedly by one of the guys. Brad I think his name was. If you want to listen to what sounds like a grown man throw little temper tantrums and start screaming about games, then look no further. It's really kind of funny for the first five minutes, but these podcasts look to be around two hours. Two hours of this guy yelling and screaming over the other two about how stupid everything and everyone, but him, is. Pretty terrible. I recommend Bombcast--those guys don't typically scream in your ears, and they really spend all their time talking about games. Not usually about how cool they are because they drink alcohol!!! That IS cool...

Great podcast with great variety of views
I've been a fan of 4pp for a long time now and I've finally been getting into listening to the podcasts. I really appreciate the unity between the people who are on the podcast each time but also the variety in the games each person plays like how Carlos gives insight on Call of Duty games while Brad and Nick will talk and agree or disagree about other current video games. The guys have great insight on the video game industry and come up with really good ideas that would truly benefit the companies they mention in the podcasts. Furthermore, the guys are great to just listen to. Sometimes, one gets tired of listening to music and one has to just hear the voices of peers with common interests and ideas and 4pp delivers. They have real talk about their subject content but they also have fun doing it. The 4player Podcast is a fantastic podcast and has helped keep me informed on games that I never knew were even available at the time. Thank you!

Great podcast, Great people.
Although sometimes hard to understand, this podcast is one everyone can relate to; a bunch of people who just love video games. They are well-informed and always honest, using no sugar coating when it comes to their passion. This podcast can keep you up to news on all things video games and provide you with a great listening experience. With each member having their own unique taste in games and their own unique personalities, you will grow to love each member. Not only because of their entertaining conversations, but their great interaction with the community. Overall, I think these guys are the best podcast around and that even a casual gamer can be won over to a new realm of video game entertainment. Suggestion: I do have one suggestion to 4pp however, you guys should bring back some of the special podcasts you had like top 5 and dinner time. Or maybe even try something new. I feel like the podcasts are strong, but could bring so much more fans with a variety of specific discussions. Still, keep up what you're good at guys and thank you for all your entertainment. - MrAnderson

Informative, funny, yet incredibly frustrating
4Player Podcast is a weekly program in which three buddies (the fourth member makes on and off appearances) sit around a table and discuss current events in the video game world, as well as their personal progress with the games that they play and their opinions about upcoming or past games. They're extremely well-informed, and they do an excellent job of passing this on to their loyal listeners. However, the best aspect of the show, the part that really makes it stand out, are the personalities of the guys involved. Take everything else away, and 4PP is a show where three (or four) buddies sit around a table in a small apartment in urban Texas, making each other laugh and exchanging stories. This is what makes it so easy for listeners to relate and enjoy the show. However, it's also an extremely frustrating show, and the guys themselves are entirely to blame for this. There are tons of positive reviews for 4PP already; originally I had no complaints, but after listening to them a bit more I've realized there are real problems with the show that need to be addressed. Far too often they constantly interrupt each other, shouting at the top of their lungs because they're convinced the other guy is completely wrong and shouldn't be allowed to continue, and then get so worked up from the excitement of what they just can't wait to say, they fumble their words and eventually, using absolutely elementary grammar and vocabulary, sort of express their opinions in a vague way. They also frequently launch into twenty-minute tangeants about this or that gameplay mechanic, industry trend or so on, which is usually exceptionally boring for the listener. Brad is clearly the leader, the funniest (I think) and most well-informed of the group. The thing is, he's also very obstinate in his beliefs and incorrigibly defends them to the point where he discounts the opinions of the other members because he seems to see himself as "the smart one who is always right." He has obvious biases towards certain games and genres and judges some (particularly horror) by comparing them to games he likes, instead of judging them by their own merits. He has almost no personal interest in games that are story-heavy; he is a gameplay gamer. He also seems utterly uninterested in considering contrasting viewpoints and as such his opinions on some gaming matters must be taken with a big ol' grain of salt. Nick is insufferable. He has an aweful sense of humor, terrible taste in games and defends the games he likes without specific reason besides the fact that he doesn't like being proven wrong. Unlike Brad, however, he has a blatant lack of confidence in his own views that cause him to both exercise his "power" as the host of the show by attempting to dictate the conversation in ways that disrupt the flow of conversation. David is the least eloquent, the least witty, and the most biased member. His sense of humor seems to be literally that of a child. These are the core members. There have been/are others, but without these three 4PP wouldn't be what it is. Unfortunately, they are also the cause of many of the show's problems. To their credit, all three of them, even David, do make very interesting points about the games they play and the business practices of developers and other industry entities-- it's just that their discussion skills are so terrible, their conversations so sloppy and frustrating to listen to, it actually makes the experience of listening to the conversation painful. For me, at least. In short, they're an extremely well-informed bunch of guys with (sometimes) great senses of humor, but they're not at all succinct in expressing their opinions and treat each other like idiots instead of carefully and respecting each others' points on various issues.

But thats not all! They also have a weekly top 5 podcast in which they tell you their personal top 5 to a specific topic and you can submit your own and have them read on the show. They also have what are called dinner time podcasts in which they have shorter discussions at restaurants or while eating during lunch or dinner. Though they don't have it anymore there is still hope for them to bring back the revival club podcasts, where they pick a game or series of games that are lost classics or are games that weren't recieved as well as they believe they should have and replay them over the week and on tuesday they all sit down and have a group conversation about said game or games. This is one podcast you don't want to pass up, with their great variety in both podcasts and broadcating there is never a dull moment listening or watching theses guys. Also 4playerpodcast was the winner of the 2009, 2010, and 2011 Podcast Awards for best gaming podcast and in 2011 also claimed the people's choice award thanks to their very dedicated community, a community that is easy to become a part of and always has room for more members.

How it all began
4Player Podcast was the first podcast that I ever listened to. It's what got me into listening podcasts because of how informative and entertaining they are. I listen to their shows while I'm doing homework, browsing the internet, or just relaxing and I never get tired of it. It's always great hearing their impressions of the games that are coming out and usually influence my decision before making a purchase. A must listen.

4Player Podcast is my perfect time killer. Listening to what they have to say about games always calms me (Very Weird. o-o). The randomness and hilarious conversations are always the highlights of the podcasts, and it fits perfectly when you are playing video games yourself. They do live broadcasts on Justin.tv and do many interesting stuffs with their podcasts like "Chater of the week" or "Cooking with Brad" (On rare occasions). Overall this is a podcast group that gamers would love. Don't forget that they stream EVERY night on Justin.tv around 8 or PM Central time. Watch them one time and you will probably understand what i mean.

Genuine love for gaming.
Ive been listening for a few years now and am just getting around to writing a review so here goes. No they are not in the industry. They dont have insider news or get invited to see and play games before they come out behind closed doors. They are like you and I. They are just in it for the love of gaming. From the first time I played Mario in the 80s when I was 2 years old till now gaming has been my favorite past time. I didnt have many friends that were into gaming and couldnt really talk about it. These guys are the friends I never had. Not enough credit is given individually. Brad is always seen as the "funny crazy kooky guy" but in reality hes unbelievably insightful. His commentary on podcasts offers some of the best advice gaming devs would do well to listen to. He belongs right up there with names like gerstmann, ryan davis, garnett lee, and Mcelroy. Its just a few friends that get together and talk about a passion shared and were lucky to be a part of it. - gaiusbaltar in the forum.

My favorite podcast out there
I discovered 4pp less than a year ago, nut I have to say that their podcasts and website are top-notch when it comes to the entertainment factor. They've got a sense of humor that is right up my alley and their reviews are always informative (and, surprisingly, very easy to take with a grain of salt, if you plan on playing a game they didn't like). The only issues I have with their podcast are professionalism ones. They tend to get offtopic very easily, which can sometimes be funny, but is equally aggravating when you were interested in the subject they were discussing. They also have problems talking over each other, which can frustrate you, making you want them to give whoever's being trampled the respect of silence. However, these can be explained by the broadcasters being men in their twenties, and good friends - it's just in their nature. Try to reign in those two things, and they would have a top-notch podcast.

Love them!
These guys are well-informed, passionate and very hilarious. I love listening to their podcasts. I admit they do go off on tangents at times, but it's always because they're discussing something really funny... I find myself always smiling and laughing when I listen to them. They're very casual and for an average video-gamer like me, I find that so helpful. I think watching their videos first, then listening to their podcast is better than the other way around. This way you get to know who's talking, and you'll find them funnier.

One of the Best
4Player Podcast handles it's show like well informed consumers of the gaming industry. They are press, but they handle news and views more like a group of friends chatting about games. A little bit more structured to not waste your time. 4Player Podcast handles games in more detail than larger news groups. Lower budget, little known, and older games are often covered. Larger news groups have to look over these games as where 4Player Podcast does not have such a limitation. If your looking for coverage on new games, they are on the edge of industry news. If you want more from 4Player Podcast their website is a community and information hub. One of the guys is a very well informed about Japanese gaming, having made many trips to Japan. If your like me and have a hard time getting information out of Japan, 4Player Podcast is a great resource. It's views on games from people who are gamers. There is no better view than that.

4 Player Podcast: Informative, In-Depth, "I can relate to this" discussions 4 Player Podcast has been one of the most legit podcasts I have ever heard. The discussions of games both old and new are informative and expressive. It's all exceptional, except....
Joseph Christ. Whenever he's on Cocktail Time, I have to completely skip the episode. He becomes more and more of a jerk and conversation hog the drunker he gets, almost to the point of letting no one else say anything. He also seems to think whatever he's saying is important enough to change the world, when it's not. One final thing: He swears too much. I know this is an explicit podcast, but that doesn't mean they should swear every other sentence. Kick him off of cocktail time and I'll give this podcast 5 stars.

Yes, it does seem a little critical. But I want to address something first. I have been keeping up today with there podcasts and I've noticed a decrease in reviews and more of a rant/debate between just gameplay. It's fine to the point where they cover most of the aspects we, the viewers, would need to know before getting the game. Except, each "player" is enthralled in their own favorite aspect. For instance, the Vanquish review today (October 25, 2010) seemed to become extremely tangent to their primary goal. To review the game. Brad and David tend to over-exert themselves to disuss flaws or their interests. And they do so in detail. While, most of us, who don't have the game, including fellow Nick, who was planning to get the game, became slightly hesitant on what was occuring. Long story short, it's an extremely opinionated podcast, but there insight is severly spot on and much more diverse than other podcasts I've seen. 3/5

The Video Game Podcast for the Everyman
The incredible synthesis of opinions formed from the many different perspectives of the 4pp cast makes this a great podcast. They arnt they journalists operating from inside they industry, they are the gamers turned journalists to whom that industry targets. They are the informed consumer and gaming intelligentsia that make a video game hobby into a serious thought provoking endeavor. Dont get me wrong, they may have a solid gaming-steeped perspective, but they are anything but boring. Their humor really shines through in in the 4pp crews interaction and is a pressure release. Theyre not wild to be wild, or dedicated by obligation, they have a passion for games that shines through bringing personal faux-pas and unique insight along for the ride.

If you like video games, you're definetely in the right place!
The four members really interact and play off each other well, inducing laugh out loud moments and memorable debates and discussions over the latest video gaming news and releases. The podcasts are also incredibly informational as the members are all well learned in the video game industry's top developers, producers, and news. Another great aspect of the podcast is the community, which is extremely intertwined with the shows and plays a huge role in the podcast's structure. At the 4PlayerPodcast website is a forum where you can post questions, news topics or just chat with your fellow gamers. The broad spectrum of podcasts is also a great bonus, ranging from the regular podcasts to the Top 5 podcasts to the Cocktail Time podcasts and so forth. But most importantly, they're fun! There is rarely a dull moment with these lively band of gamers. So whether you're a veteran gamer or a newcomer to the excitement of gaming, this is a podcast I highly recommend. With an excellent combination of fantastic, fun, knowledgeable and sometimes goofy personalities, there is no end in the fun to be had. So join the community and have fun!

I've been watching you guy for about a year now, and what I love most about you guys is how close you guys are and how you always mess around . You can't find another show like this. You guys are popular and small enough to do what ever you want and It's alway entertaining. The 4 main cast member all bring there own flavor to the show. Also like how you guys keep it kinda simple and what you say it not hard to understand. I can't stand the viwers though, They see the cast member as something of a celebrity (which they kinda are) and try everything they can to get noticed. Other than that my only other complaint is the profannity and inappropriate thing you say and talk about are. Well bottom line is~ Funny , Entertaining , very informitive, Bromance and not for children (which i'm pretty sure most your viewers are, I REALLY HATE THEM!) I just love you guys and your podcast

It's on par with other great gaming podcasts
My only concern with the podcast is the sound imbalance. Often times, one speaker will be unbearably while another will be painfully loud. The discussions are enjoyable and they do keep their shows in order. I would gladly give them five stars if it wasn't for the trouble of hearing everything they had to say.

Hilarious, but stangely helpful
These guys are so funny, and never fail to make me giggle, but they always know what they're talking about, and how to put it so they don't "spoil" games for others. They are smart, funny gamers who know their stuff... And their broadcast on justin.tv/fourplayerpodcast is super awesome as well!

I like video games
4pp approach the world of video games with such earnest charm and sincerity it breathes life into the often jaded industry. The discussions are as well informed and intelligent as they are passionate. These are guys who genuinely enjoy video games. Their personalities are inexplicably entertaining, bringing me back for more and assuring nary a dull moment. The boystrous Brad generally leads the discussion with an atmosphere of spontanaity that allows for moments of humor and/or harsh debate along with everything in between. Perhaps the most remarkable aspect of the show is how easy it is to relate to these guys. As someone who loves video games, I just seem to connect with them so naturally. They feel like they could be my college roommates. It's clear and compelling that they have a similar perspective and interest in video games. In short, they match charm and wit with intellect and passion, and it's all about the games!

Brad really brings this show down
I used to enjoy this podcast but recently, Brad has been very annoying. He talks about one particular game like it's the messiah trying to get people to play it and can't come to think, "Hmmm, maybe this game isn't for him." It's really depressing to hear someone take gaming so seriously, when gaming is all about having fun.

Real Guys Talkin' About Games
This is probably the best way to describe this show. Not only are these guys funny but they have a lot of insight into the video game industry today. Sometimes they make observations that can floor a person. These guys are friends and it comes through in the podcast. They have a great website and they broadcast on justin.tv everyday. I would not pass this up if you want something that feels really comfortable and real.

Can be good, but mostly it
This show has potential. They are informative at times and do a good job explaining pluses and minuses of games and news. The problem comes when they have any disagreement about a game, usually centering around Brad yelling at everyone. The guy seems unable to construct an argument that doesn't involve yelling and cutting everyone off. He'll then explain that he does know what the other guys think is good or bad about a game, but then continue to basically say why they are wrong. The best episode was 160 a which he wasn't on. It got too frustrating to listen to him yell for most of the show and I cut it from my weekly rotation of shows. There are a few other video game podcasts much better than this.

Should be called the Bradcast. One guy dominates the show way too much. If he would just shut the f up and let the others talk more it would be better. Stillnot a bad podcast though.

One of the best
This is, by far, one of the best gaming podcasts produced. It features a myriad of different people, each with their own unique take on games, and they're all fun an interesting to listen to. Not only do they offer great insight into their own thoughts about every topic that comes up, they're usually hilarious while they do it. Now, if only Nick would bring his vanilla scented candles. Then this show would be the greatest!

4player podcast is an independent gaming podcast that does a great job informing its listeners of the latest games and gaming news. Each podcaster shares their views on the topic making it a non biased podcast. Not only do they get the word out on games, but they are very funny as they do it.you wont find a podcast out there that does what these guys do.5/5 stars!

One of the best.
These guys are some of the best out there. Anyone can review and rave about Darksiders or Modern Warfare 2. These guys go far beneath the mainstream. They talk about games like Valkyria Chronicles and Little King Story, games no one else would even have heard of if it wans't for these guys. These guys have long and intelligent discussions about games, not just a five minute blurb that doesn't tell you anything about the game. And besides that, there is a real chemistry between all of these guys. The banter between David, Brad, Nick, Travis, (And a myriad of other guests) is funny. They make for a great podcast and one that is well deserving of a podcast award.

Perhaps the greatest live podcast ever conceived.
This is a group that knows what they're doing. Hosting a live podcast over at justin.tv/fourplayerpodcast, Brad, David, Nick, and Travis discuss the latest games, gaming news, and gaming events in a very humorous fashion. While they're not discussing up-to-date issues and releases, the team at 4Player Podcast play the newest games live, for all to watch. The events that follow are quite possibly the funniest, most entertaining tidbits about the show. An archive on their website displays their greatest highlights, if one becomes curious. Over all, 4Player Podcast is by far the most iconic and monumental podcasts of out time. No other podcast delivers the kind of entertainment Brad, David, Nick, and Travis are able to bring.Highly reccomended for fans of video games, this is a podcast that can't be missed.

Not intrested in the gaming podcast scene? See if this hits that spot hard enough to unlock that inner gamer thats inside you like a raving beast. You a retro gamer who miss the 8-bit days of Super Mayrio and Adventures of Tingle or whatever they're names are? Check out they're Revival podcasts, where they revisit old games that are collecting dust in some bin at your local GameSlop. You like your podcast with the sound of your favorite foods being enjoyed by the hosts? Check out the dinner time podcasts. Don't forget to subscribe so you don't have to return here. Your probably asking yourself 'Why is this man with a easily mispronounced name writing what should be a review when it sounds like a advertisment at my favorite Tweeters or MyBooks?'. Well, if you see those stars at the top, those is the score to whatever the reviewer is giving to the reviewee. So when you are clicking through you iTunes, why not dowload this joyous bunch of gamers spewing the bits and peices of gravel that is news into the river that is iTunes? Hypothetically Speaking...
If the world was suddenly ignited into a giant ball of flame, killing 99% of the entire human population, I would find it as my duty to re-establish gaming as a hobby in the new civilization. The only way to explain it in its glorious entirity would be to broadcast this podcast and this podcast alone. Reading the reviews does no justice..
Actually listening (or watching it live!!) is great info and feedback for all us gamers. 4pp are not like most of the other gaming podcasts out there. They are not stuckup and bored sounding like it is a chore to do these podcasts.

Over the years, I'm getting less and less time to listen to podcasts. And over the last year, 4Player Podcast has easily become my favorite, making it the only one that I make it a point to listen to. It may not be some big budget, highly professional podcast, but it is quite funny. And a good way to hear about good games that you may have missed.

The gamers in all of us.
I think more people should get into this show. A cast of modern day gamers who remain up to date on the gaming world at large, while still knowing where their roots in the old games lie, come to us every week to talk about what they've been playing. Everything from Castlevania to Halo 3. From the Legend of Zelda to F.E.A.R. Whats intresting is that these guys arent all alike, each one is a very diffrent person from the other, unified primarily for their love in this new entertainment medium we call gaming. Its inspiring to see how very diffrent kinds of gamers can still get along and talk about whats fun and whats not. The episodes do run pretty long though, anywhere between an hour and a half to 2 hours, you should definately listen to this on the bus or during lunch, I can rarely listen to a single podcast in one sitting. As they say in every podcast, they do play and record their gaming live every single night on Justin.tv, so check them out.

What else you could want? well..
Smart and funny hosts, with actual personalities, delivers informative shows every week. Even better, daily broadcast at justin.tv/fourplayerpodcast with Juan is a treat. What, really, else you could want? well, I guess if David wouldn't emo over chat every 5 seconds on his broadcast time and stop spreading his fanboylove filled comments on the show, 4PP would be even greater than it is right now. I guess once you get your face all over Joystiq, you can do w/e the ef you want. :) All that being said, it's still a really great podcast. Keep it up.

For the love of Videogames
Great Podcast. Not as "insider" as other podcasts that are more involved with behind the scenes of the industry such as giant bomb, but a genuinely cool bunch of dudes. Each of the members have their own style and genre favorites which rounds out the show. Everything from the newest most popular games to the niche Japanese games are discussed. Extremely funny and witty podcast that doesnt drag on. They dont get paid a dime so its done for the love of video games which makes the podcast more genuine.

No nerdgasm gamer cream needed to enjoy this podcast
holy smokes. its hard not using overtly sexual language to describe the coolness of this podcast. if it was a woman, i would butter her bread and fry her toast. but seriously, i happened upon this podcast through their streaming bradcast (on the crappiest web site to broadcast on) justin.tv its neat because i remember a time before "scooter brothers". i was there. but after just downloading itunes and having nothing to listen to aside from my boring music, i decided to take up their offer. i subscribed to their podcast. that was early 2008? its now mid of 2009, and i am still hooked. when my old laptop broke, and the backlight went out, i couldnt tune into the (cuz i couldnt see crap) so all i did was listen to the PODCAST. and i tell you, it saved my life. keep up the good work, and tell nick to keep growing the beard out. he looked kinda cool when he resembled jeffery dahmer.

- 4Player Podcast #749 - The Ghostwire Texas Show (Resident Evil 4 Demo, Bayonetta Origins Demo, The Last of Us HBO Season 1 Final Thoughts, and More!)It's a week full of noteworthy demos. In impressions we talk about our first hands-on impressions of the new Resident Evil 4 demo and our expectations for how the obvious changes will be applied across the full release. Brad also talks about the surprisingly charming demo of Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon. Before all that though, we deliver another Fantasy Critic update, run through the Naughty Dog heavy headlines for the week, and deliver some final thoughts on The Last of Us now that the first season has run it's course on HBO.0 comments0
- 4Player Podcast #748 - The Hard "E" Show (Is the term "JRPG" harmful to the industry and should we retire it?)We're mixing things up a bit by introducing an updated "News" segment and swapping the placement of the weekly discussion topic and impressions. With that in mind, we deliver a spicy update to our ongoing Fantasy Critic adventure and run down the juiciest headlines from the past week including an Elden Ring DLC announcement, Suicide Squad delayed, and the details regarding the upcoming XBox & Starfield showcases. We then turn our attention to a hot topic surging through the industry and our discord: the legacy of the term "JRPG" and the potential harm it is doing to the industry. In the 2nd segment, Brad talks Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty and Dead Cells: Return to Castlevania. Chris Davis discusses his playthrough of Metroid Prime Remastered which also happens to be his 1st time playing the game.0 comments0
- 4Player Podcast Feb 26 · 2h 9m 4Player Podcast #747 - The Underdog Story (Atomic Heart, Theatrhythm Final Bar Line, the PSVR2 Launch, and More!)Our first surprise twist of the year has landed... Mortal Kombat 12 is real! Proving once and for all that Chris Davis was right! In other news, Nick is smitten over Atomic Heart and is convinced that it is destined to be his 2023 underdog. Brad breaks down Theatrhythm Final Bar Line and explains how it compares to other entries in the series and other music & rhythm games in general. The group also delves into Like a Dragon: Ishin which is the latest entry in the recently rebranded Yakuza series. In the second segment, Nick gives his early impressions of the Playstation VR 2 headset and it's only true launch title, Horizon: Call of the Mountain.0 comments0
- 4Player Plus - The Top 3 Games that we Regret DroppingIn our first Top 3 list of the year, we discuss the games that got away. The games that we booted up, enjoyed, and then never completed despite enjoying them thoroughly. Sometimes a game gets moved to the back burner and is forgotten despite our intentions to the contrary. To make things interesting, we treated this as a committment to return to the games on our list in 2023 in an effort to right these wrongs.0 comments0
- 4Player Podcast #746 - The Legend of Zelda: Nuts and Bolts (Nintendo Direct News Roundup, Steam Next Fest Highlights, and More!)This week we dig into two big events at opposite ends of the industry. On one hand, Nintendo just had one of their biggest Nintendo Direct events in recent memory so with that in mind, we devoted the first segment to breaking down all the big announcements including the release date for Pikmin 4, Metroid Prime Remastered (another Shadow Drop!), and the next big trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom! In the second segment, we highlight a handful of games that are currently available as demos for Steam Next Fest including System Shock, Planet of Lana, Shadows of Doubt, and more!0 comments0
- 4Player Podcast #745 - Dead Space takes Manhattan (Dead Space Remake, Fire Emblem Engage, Hi-Fi Rush, and More!)Thanks to a literal act of god, we are once again down to 3 people this week but the release of the Dead Space remake ensured that there is plenty to dissect. We dive deep into this remake and try our best to figure out it's legacy in comparison to other high-profile remakes. We also discuss the future of Dead Space under the EA Motive banner if this proves to be a success. Brad delivers a hefty Fire Emblem Engage update and Chris emphasizes how good Hi-Fi Rush is following it's surprise release last week. In the second segment, we discuss the recent culling of GAAS (Games as a Service) games and some major industry shakeups at 343 Industries which calls the future of Halo into question.0 comments0
- 4Player Podcast #744 - The Shadow Drop Show (Fire Emblem Engage, Forspoken, Hi-Fi Rush, and More!)Amidst travel and hardware issues, a smaller group convened this week to discuss one of the first big gaming weeks of 2023! Brad uses this opportunity to express some positivity for Fire Emblem Engage and explain some common misconceptions about the series. Chris Davis shares his early impressions of Forspoken which seems poised to be one of the first misfires (or at the very least, divisive releases) of the year. But the biggest news of the week comes in the form of a surprise shadow drop from Tango Gameworks! Hi-Fi Rush is a stylish new action game that uses music and rhythm to great effect. It also happens to be the first big surprise of the year.0 comments0
- 4Player Podcast #743 - The Chris vs Kris Show (First Impressions of 'The Last of Us' on HBO)While we have plenty of actual video games to discuss this week, the recent premiere of ' The Last of Us ' on HBO steals the spotlight this week. The show is off to a strong start so we take a minute (or 30) to talk about that first impression and the potential that it holds in the coming weeks (or even years). In the first segment though, we check in with Krispy as he continues to play Tunic (one of our 2022 game of the year contenders) and Chris Davis explains his split feelings on Generation Zero, an open-world FPS that came out in 2018. Nick discusses The Forest and delivers an important update to his Chained Echoes impressions from last week.0 comments0
- 4Player Podcast Jan 15 · 2h 11m 4Player Podcast #742 - The Back Alley Trading Show (When is a Game Too Big to Fail Critically?)With our 'Game of the Year' content behind us, we finally have some time to talk about the games we've been playing in the background for the past few weeks. Nolan introduces Dark and Darker which is currently in development but undergoing Alpha playtests; Despite it's early nature, it seems to have serious potential. Nick finally has a chance to talk about Chained Echoes after weeks of digging into this beautiful throwback to retro JRPGs. On top of that, he finally tore through Chernobylite, a game that has been on his backlog for years. Brad dishes on Citizen Sleeper - a game that could have easily been a GOTY contender had he played it in 2022. In the 2nd segment, we talk shady draft trades and ask the question: When is a game too big to fail critically? Will Starfield fall into the same trap as Cyberpunk 2077?0 comments0
- 4Player Podcast #741 - 2023 "Fantasy Critic" League Draft (aka the 2023 Preview Show)2023 is going to be a ton of fun here at 4Player! In lieu of our usual "preview show" format, we have opted to create a " Fantasy Critic" league! This works a lot like fantasy football but publishers (players) draft games and points are dictated by their OpenCritic scores. In this episode, Carlos joins us for the initial draft and we take turns filling out the slots in our lineup! The league will consist of 12 games total per person but only 8 are selected in this initial draft. We will re-convene after E3 season to bid on our remaining 4 slots and fill out the rest of our teams. We will also provide monthly updates on the last podcast of every month so we can check in and see where we all stand as these games release.0 comments0
- 4Player Podcast #740 - The 2022 Awards ShowAnother year comes to a close but it's been great! As always, we cap off the year with our annual awards show which gives us a chance to honor a whole bunch of games in over 14 categories! We trimmed some of the fat this year and introduced some new wrinkles which we think make for a leaner (even if it is nearly 4-hours), better show! We hope some of you find the inspiration you need to try some of the games featured on this episode and of course, we hope you will join us in 2023 for another year with a LOT to talk about! Categories: Biggest Regret Best Looking Game Best New Gameplay Experience Best World/Level Design (that isn't Elden Ring) Best New Enemy/Boss Fight Best New Character Best Storytelling Best Video Game Moment Biggest Surprise Biggest Disappointment Stubborn Award Spotlight Award Asterisk Award Number 11 Best Soundtrack0 comments0
- 4Player Podcast #739 - The Medical Kink Show (Reacting to the Big Announcements from 'The Game Awards')The end of 2022 is looming. In fact, this is our last "regular" show of the year. Krispy and Brad have good things to say about Midnight Suns with some... caveats. Nick and Chris finally have a chance to talk about the divisive nature of The Callisto Protocol and it's potential as a franchise. Chris talks about his time with Potionomics and we catch up with Ed who finished Xenoblade Chronicles 3 and has started up Sifu. In the 2nd segment we talk very early (and potentially misguided) impressions from the Forspoken demo and then we discuss all of the exciting announcements from The Game Awards!0 comments0
- 4Player Podcast #738 - The Divine Beast Show (Is It possible for Nintendo to screw up 'Tears of the Kingdom?')Brace yourselves. Nolan played 50+ hours of Pokemon Scarlet and he's here to tell us why it is both "the best" and "the worst" pokemon game ever made! Brad highlights ASTLIBRA: Revision, a crunchy new action RPG that - as Brad says - "Brings the meat." Nick talks Evil West (not to be confused with Weird West, Blood West, or Hard West) and the group digs a little deeper into the divisive nature of God of War Ragnarok. We also introduce the newly revamped community segment to discuss the Topic of the Week: Is it possible for Nintendo to screw up The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom?0 comments0
- 4Player Podcast #737 - The Extremely Hardcore Show (God of War Ragnarok, Somerville, Tactics Ogre Reborn, and More!)With the launch of God of War Ragnarok, 2022 finally has one of it's biggest AAA releases of the year. With that in mind, we kick things off with the most important questions... Why doesn't Kratos just go somewhere else? Once the big questions are answered, we delve into the nitty gritty to find out how we're feeling about it thus far. Nick provides a quick update (and PSA) on Signalis and talks about his playthrough of the long awaited Somerville. Brad talks about Tactics Ogre Reborn which is an odd duck in that it is the 2nd complete remake of Tactics Ogre; A classic grid-based strategy RPG that launched in the late 90s. All of this is of course against the backdrop of Twitter loudly and swiftly burning to the ground.0 comments0
- 4Player Podcast Nov 13 · 1h 50m 4Player Plus - Our Top 3 Forever Wishlisted GamesFor ages, The Steam "wishlist" has given us a way to show interest in a game without committing to it in the moment. Everyone's approach to managing that list is different. On this episode, we comb through our ever-expanding wishlists to pick 3 games that never quite make the cut regardless of how low the price goes or how often they go on sale. To make things interesting, we each commit to buying one of our list by the end of the episode! Listeners will also get bonus tangents regarding fast-food orders and dinosaur fluids (yes you read that right).0 comments0
- 4Player Podcast #736 - The Blue Robin Show (Gotham Knights, Bayonetta 3, Signalis, and More!)Krispy returns to the show this week to finally dive deep into Gotham Knights and the take away is not as grim as you might expect! Meanwhile, Brad has dabbled in Bayonetta 3 but is impressed enough by the approach that he is eager to see what else the game has to offer. Nick showers Signalis in praise for walking a fine line between faithful love-letter and refreshing iteration while Chris Davis has less than great things to say about the Shadows of Rose DLC for Resident Evil Village. We also cover the new PSVR2 launch details and Nibellions sudden retirement from Twitter and the gaming industry at large.0 comments0
- 4Player Podcast #735 - The Rat Battle Show (A Plague Tale: Requiem, Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope, Bone's Cafe, Spooky Game Roundup, and More!)Rats. There's lots of them this week. Thousands of them! Nick and Chris discuss the impressive technological and design leap made in Asobo's A Plague Tale: Requiem - a game that Chris Davis is convinced will sit atop his Game of the Year list this year. Brad acknowledges the charm and skill on display in Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope but laments what could have been if Nintendo had decided to pursue other Rabbids crossovers. Nolan charms the group with Bone's Cafe - another delightful (and morbid) indie gem that combines necromancy with the pressures of Overcooked. In the second segment, the group discusses the announcement of a Witcher remake and Nick rattles off a list of impressive horrors games from his most recent stream including In Sound Mind, Mother, Love Sam, and more!0 comments0
- 4Player Podcast #734 - The Body Horror Show (Silent Hill Returns, Scorn, Cultic, and More!)It's been 3 weeks since our last podcast recording but the industry hasn't slowed down to wait for us! The news segment this week is bursting at the seams with big headlines like the return of Silent Hill, our first real look at the remake of Resident Evil 4, and the unfortunate drama unfolding between Platinum Games and the original Bayonetta voice actress, Hellena Taylor. But before we get there, we have loads of new games to talk about. Things get weird (and squishy) when talks about Scorn, Nolan laments the troubled launch of Deathverse: Let it Die, and Krispy is losing time in Mount and Blade II: Bannerlord. Nick also revels in the bliss that is Cultic: Chapter One; the "Boomer Shooter" that he has been searching for all year.0 comments0
- 4Player Podcast #733 - The Fabulous Boomer Shooter Show (Prodeus, Fashion Police Squad, The Last of Us HBO Teaser, and More!)Circumstances force us to record a "shorter" show this week but make no mistake... there is a lot to dig into. Brad shares some insightful but hilarious anecdotes about his family time with ' Disney Dreamlight Valley,' and Nick talks up ' Prodeus ' which manages to deliver the goods as a classic "Boomer Shooter" while also making some bizarre design choices. Nolan finds more digging goodness in ' Dome Keeper ' and Chris Davis brings another inspired "Boomer Shooter" to the mix with ' Fashion Police Squad.' In the news, we delve into the first teaser trailer for HBO's 'The Last of Us' and discuss Google's decision to call it quits on Stadia.0 comments0
- 4Player Podcast #732 - The Brad Dad Show (Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, Steelrising, Tinkin, the GTA6 Leak, and More!)Thanks to the Tokyo Game Show, it's another jam packed week in the world of video games! We take a (really) deep dive into the surprise demo of ' Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty,' Nick shows his support for ' SteelRising,' and Chris Davis talks about the demo of ' Valkyrie Elysium '. Brad and Nolan finally get a chance to talk about ' TinyKin ' which seems poised to be one of the chillest and most enjoyable indie games of the year! In the news, Brad finally has his chance to talk about the newly announced remasters of Suikoden 1 & 2 and we of course delve into the massive (and unfortunate) Grand Theft Auto 6 leak at Rockstar.0 comments0
- 4Player Podcast Sep 19 · 2h 33m 4Player Podcast #731 - The Arcology Show (The Last of Us: Part I, Nintendo Direct Recap, Assassin's Creed News, and More!)In this jam packed episode, we do our best to recap the boat-load of news that made headlines in the past week. Ubisoft laid out their plans for the next 4 Assassin's Creed titles, Disney announced Amy Hennig's new Marvel game, and Nintendo and Sony both hosted Direct events featuring tons of announcements. In impressions, Nick discusses the controversial but impressive remake of ' The Last of Us,' Chris Davis discusses ' The Ascent,' and Krispy delivers his analysis of ' Immortality ' in true Krispy fashion. It's such a jam packed show that we didn't even have time for feedback or community questions (sorry!). Regardless, it's an exciting time for video games and that's always welcome news.0 comments0
- 4Player Podcast #730 - The Clickable Boobs Show (Immortality, Sifu, the Future of Assassin's Creed, and More!)Sam Barlow throws Brad and Nolan for a loop this week with the bizarre but undeniably impressive new game, ' Immortality.' It throws you into the deep end with no guidance and countless things to click on and discover... including boobs! Nick backs up Chris Davis with his assessment of ' Sifu ' which somehow manages to be brutal and refreshing in equal measure. In the news, we talk about a frightening new precedent in the tech industry and Ubisoft's planned unveiling for the future of Assassin's Creed.0 comments0
- 4Player Podcast #729 - Opening Night Meh (Saint's Row, Crystal Project, Gamescom 2022 Announcements, and More!)It's hard to believe but Geoff Keihley now produces THREE huge gaming events every year! This week, we discuss the highlights (or lack thereof?) from ' Gamescom ONL ' (Opening Night Live) including: Dune Awakening, Hogwart's Legacy, Tales from the Borderlands, The Expanse, Dead Island 2, and more! In the first segment though, Krispy discusses his enjoyment of the new " Saint's Row" despite middling reception from critics. Nick highlights the demo for ' Conscript ' which channels classic Survival Horror by way of WW1 and shares his initial thoughts after finally trying ' Telling Lies.' Brad discusses an unfortunately named gemmie called ' Crystal Project.'0 comments0
- 4Player Podcast #728 - The "Who do you Voodoo?" Show (Cult of the Lamb, The Diofield Chronicle, Dead Island 2 Leak, and More!)Devolver Digital drops another indie banger this week with the release of ' Cult of the Lamb ' and Nolan and Nick can attest to it's addictive qualities. Brad shares his initial thoughts on another Square Enix strategy RPG, ' The Diofield Chronicle ' and Chris Davis brings up ' Ex-Zodiac '; An early access throwback to classic Star Fox (in everything but name). Nick, despite thinking he didn't have much to add after last week, lets his love of ' The Mortuary Assistant ' get the best of him. In the news, we discuss a high profile and highly unexpected leak that appeared just moments before the live recording: ' Dead Island 2 ' is back and it's coming soon.0 comments0
- 4Player Plus - Our Top 3 RPG PartiesWhen we think of RPGs, we often think about classic mega-hits like Final Fantasy 7 and Chrono Trigger (rightfully so) but over the years, RPGs have taken many memorable forms. In spite of change, they have almost always been defined by the cast of characters that surround and support the player character. In this episode, we look back at our personal favorites to find the RPG parties that stuck with us the most. Our choices span decades of gaming history and explore the differences in approach that are explored in both Eastern and Western RPGs.0 comments0
