Still the best comics podcast there is!
This is the comics podcast that got me back in to comics a decade ago. Since then, I’ve read and enjoyed many comics I may never have found on my own. Vince, David, and Jason have the best taste and all bring a unique and colorful approach to discussing comics. I highly enjoy the camaraderie between the hosts and with their fans. I continue to receive birthday wishes and continued encouragement from all three hosts. I am grateful to them all and look forward to all the outstanding comics and creators they’ll introduce me to in the future!

Greatest Comics Podcast of all time
Been listening for 4 years, these guys have been there in my ears turning me onto to so many titles. But more importantly are three great humans and role models for stellar citizens in these crazy times. They always put me in a good mood, cheers to comics.

THE Podcast for Comics
11 O'Clock Comics is the ONLY comics podcast I still listen to regularly. As someone who's fallen away from superhero comics (which they still talk about plenty of capes books, if that's your thing), the EOC crew regularly turn me on to new comics across a wide spectrum of non-superhero books. Their critiques are always thoughtful, always entertaining. Moreso, after years of listening, these guys really feel like old friends, even though I've never met them in person. For additional community-building

Good fun time
Really sounds like the group honestly enjoys each other and loves comics. The conversations here are what I would expect everybody would want to hear at their own LCS. Love this show. I listened to a lot of similar podcasts and this is the one I always try to hear every week. Dave, Vince and whomever Jason is claiming to be that week really love what they do and have differing choices in what they enjoy. They don’t always agree and don’t play the contrarian side just to be edgy or provocative. What you hear is real.

One of the BEST!
In the raging sea of comic podcasts, Eleven O’Clock Comics sets itself apart from the rest with insightful in-depth comic book coverage and amazing co-host chemistry. This show exists to entertain and inform its listeners and it does both at the highest level. Listen and enjoy one of the very best podcasts today!

Long time listener, first time caller…
I’ve been listening to these guys for more than a decade now, and it never ceases to be one of the highlights of my listening week, and it informs an already pretty informed collector. Knowledgeable, funny, and bursting with a love of all things comics, it’s one of THE BEST sources for comics old and new. And side note: they are just as generous and genuine in person as they are in the show.

The very best of all comics Podcasts!
I’ve been listening to podcasts and comics podcasts specifically for over 17 years. These guys, Vince, David, and Jason are smart, insightful, fun and very relatable. Many podcasts have come and gone in my feed over the years but I always looked forward to hearing my boys every week and sometimes more. Worth a listen and worth making a part of your feed.

A Great Time!
What an excellent podcast! Not only does it feel like you’re sitting down and talking comics with a couple of old friends every time you listen, but the hosts are extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of the industry itself, from art techniques to sales. They present a wide range of genres, discussing everything from modern, big 2 superhero comics to slice of life comics from obscure publishers and are quick to showcase and praise a diverse selection of creators. Something to look forward to every time a new episode drops!

Closest thing to a Wednesday in a shop
I didn’t even know what podcasts were a few years ago, but a long commute got me to try them out, and I randomly stumbled into EOC. I’m slow to change, but very quickly podcasts, particularly EOC, became one of my favorite things and a daily habit. There are many things that I love about David, Jason, Vince, and their podcast, but the chief thing is how palpable is the love they have for both the medium of comic books and for each other. Every episode makes me smile multiple times, and wish that it was longer.

Best Comics Podcast. Period.
I’ve been listening to show since day one and it has never been anything but excellent. Vince, David and Jason are true comic fans who know their comics history and cover a wide range of comics topics, and not just from Marvel and DC. Truly a wonderful podcast, with an incredible community of listeners with it!

Best comics podcast
What makes this podcast special is the brotherhood and camaraderie of the hosts, and the fact that they extend this same camaraderie to their audience. You will be hard-pressed to find another podcast of any kind that so routinely gives shout outs to the various members of their community. They’re funny, they talk easily with each other in the shorthand that only best friends do, and they get some amazing guest artists and writers to appear on the show for occasional interviews. I’ve been listening for about 13 years or so now, and never miss an episode.

Best comic podcast I can recommend
I’ve been listening to these guys for over 700 episodes and can truthfully say I’ve enjoyed every episode. David, Jason and Vince genuinely have a passion for comics and it shows in their talks. They don’t always agree and don’t always like what they read which is what makes this show so great. Different view points and different likes gives a well rounded show. Even when they may not like something they don’t go crazy negative which is nice because they know ‘different strokes for different folks’ and don’t want to discourage readers from trying new things. Thanks for all the great talks!

Unbridled Comic Talk
These guys are great to listen to. If you're a veteran comics reader you'll enjoy when they deep dive into an older series or spotlight a legendary creator. If you're new or newer to reading comics they will get you excited and interested in tons of books that you may not have known were worth reading. This show goes well with iFanboy because it offers unscripted free form discussion while iFanboy is great for succinct and structured talk on the current books.

Back in the game
I was big into this podcast about 7-8 years ago when I was buying and reading comics regularly. The broad range of genres discussed and the level of passion each host brought to the table really sucked me in vs other comic podcasts that focused on the weekly releases, superheroes, etc. Anyways, life happened and I fell out of the hobby for nearly a decade. Fast forward to 2021 and I noticed BWS’ Monsters was releasing. Idk what it was about that title that pulled me back in but I scooped it up, devoured it, and jumped right back into EOC’s review of it. It’s like I never left. These are guys that really understand the medium, know how to keep their listeners entertained, and curate a community of like minded individuals who all have one obsessive interest in common. I got a lot of catching up to do.

Huge breadth of knowledge though not particularly inclusive
I started listening to this show a couple months ago as I’ve gotten back into collecting comics after a long absence. I was drawn to this podcast because of the broad focus — new and old stuff, not just superhero books — and the incredible breadth of knowledge that the hosts bring to their discussions. However, there’s a strong undercurrent of misogyny that threatens to spoil the show for me. On several occasions, the hosts have indulged in discussions of how artists depict the female form — in rather crass, dehumanizing terms. In addition to these more abrasive instances, the hosts rarely discuss women creators and typically use masculine pronouns when referring to creators in the abstract (e.g. ‘if someone was going to write a book like that, he would have to be a big name’). The show very much feels like a boys’ club. I get that comics has long been a male-dominated industry and community, so I can see where these tendencies stem from, but the way the hosts conduct this show only perpetuates these exclusionary attitudes and practices. I really want to keep listening to this show, but these undercurrents of misogyny are really isolating and off-putting. It’s tough to listen through those moments and still feel included in the conversation.

Spotty at best..
There seems to be a trend for podcasters to move from the topic of the podcast to personal matters that have zero interest to listeners who tune in to hear info about the designated topic. Suggestion, get to the point and spare us the personal stories and pattern endorsements.

Terrible Interviewers
They never let their guest speak! They just constantly talk over their guests and ramble on amongst each other. Very poorly done. And their questions, when they bother to ask them, are as bland and trite as can be. I’ve come to resent when my favorite creators sit down for an interview with them because it means I have to endure their sloppy, clumsy charade for hours just to hear the creator speak for maybe 20 minutes. Don’t waste your time.

The sign of a good podcast...
... is how much you rely on each new episode. It's a bit of a conundrum really, I expect this podcast to be available first thing Thursday morning, but I drag the listening of it out for several days because it shortens the amount of time between weekly episodes. It's similar to the way I read a great comic... and these guys have pointed me to some really great ones with their impassioned treatises on graphic storytelling offerings from the big two to the smallest indie publishers. Keep it up VinceB, King DAP, Christopher and Woooooooooood!!! 2019 UPDATE: At 600+ episodes this podcast is still going strong, and they still don't miss a week. More importantly, they never phone it in. Long live EOC!

Best Comics Chat Anywhere!
The premise is simple: Three guys who are extremely knowledgeable about comics talk about whatever they are currently reading (from any and all genres and eras) as well as touching on the comics-related topics of the day. Sometimes it’s silly. Sometimes it’s philosophical. Sometimes it’s both! But it’s always fun and interesting if you love comics. Plus the hosts are always active on social media and other forums, so very quickly it starts to feel more like family than just a show. Check it out!!!

If you already know comics, join in on the fun. If you want to know about comics you've only heard about, they got you covered. I am often astounded by the width and breadth of these guys knowledge for minutia that only comic book fanatics possess. My trips to the comic book store are that much richer and longer after listening to Vince, David, Chris and Wood speaking passionately and admiringly of the awesome world of comic books. Edit- Wow, 10 years ago I wrote my first review! The most entertaining comicbook podcast out there
I look forward to the 11 O'Clock Comics Podcast every week because there is no other comic podcast (that I have found) like it. 4 friends get together with some drinks and discuss comics. They all have their own slant (be it D.C., Marvel, Indy or just plain wierd) but they share an unabashed love for the medium. I can not reccomend this podcast highly enough. They have a blast week in and week out talking about comics and we (the listeners) have a blast hearing them get a little tipsey as the night goes on. I'm just sorry I didn't discover these guys sooner. 11 O'clock Comics dive deep into past & present where the funny book art form is concerned. Love the long discussions & the terrific analysis on characters, artists, writers, etc. The show's funny & brutally honest, & its clear these guys love the medium. They cover a vast array of titles beyond the main publishers (eg; Marvel, DC, Image, etc.). If your a comics fan this is a must listen. If you love comics...
This is an amazing podcast! I have been listening for a long time (I came to the show from Bullpen Bulletins), and have enjoyed every episode. This show is often the highlight of my comic’s week. The podcast is driven by the three co-host, who are friends and remarkably knowledgeable about comic books. Below is a quick introduction to each of them with loose reference to Freud’s structural model of the psyche: Vince B.: Vince is the id of the show. He knows art at a molecular level. Vince has encyclopedic knowledge about comics as a medium. To a first time listener he may sound a bit sexist and fixed in his ways, but this would be selling him short. Listen carefully; everything he says goes back to the art. If you pay attention and are willing to be challenged, you will learn something new. DAP: David is the super-ego and heart of the show. I’m not sure if the show would work without him. He may not speak as much as the other co-hosts, but when he does it is always meaningful. David is also crazy passionate about the books he loves. It is infectious. For example, growing up I never cared much for Teen Titans. However, after years of David talking about the Wolfman & Perez run I gave the book another shot with the context provided by DAP. I love Teen Titans. Jason: Jason is the ego of the show. He is super organized and is often the most measured in his reflections on a book. Personally, identify the most with him. In the early episodes, Jason was mainly a Marvel zombie but as the show has progressed he has developed an eclectic taste in comics. My comic book taste has shown a similar progression. However, what is great about Jason is that he still appreciates good comics from Marvel and DC. Furthermore, I have never been disappointed by a book he has recommended.

I really wanted to like this after hearing a shout out from Word Balloon, but everything about the audio is unbearable. Usually if it's the guest I don't mind since they're probably skyping in, but the host had the worst gainy, peaky, mic I've ever heard. Experts
This is a podcast about 3 guys who are passionate about comics. They have an incredible knowledge of the history, and do not ignore the modern books. All 3 of them have very diversified tastes, which leads to all types of books being talked about at some point. In any field, you have to have some knowledge of the field to know when some one is full of S. The worst thing is loving comics, and listening to a podcast only to discover they don't know what they are talking about. With this podcast, you realize that these are the experts. These are the PhDs of comics. But if you are like me, what keeps you coming back is that these 3 guys wear their friendship and love for each other on their sleeves. You listen enough, you get the inside jokes and you really feel you know these guys, and want to come back next week to hang out with them.

I've been listening since around episode 120, and love it more every week. The three friends bring an energy and optimism that would make anyone excited to pick up a comic and read. They mix it up and have serious conversations, joke around, and everything in between. Give this show a try!

Invaluable
For years, 11 O'Clock comics has provided the most entertaining, insightful, and heartfelt comics-centric podcast out there. Vince, Jason, and David are friends that embrace the listenership into their friendship and through their oft jubilant discussions help sound the trumpet blare of the best comics have to offer. Never boring or self-absorbed, their perspective isn't forced on you, but instead serves to inform your views. Walking the dog, on your commute, and hell, even at work (I once lied to my boss saying I was on a conference call while listening to an episode at work) these three become your trusted circle of comic friends you've always wanted. I'd implore you to join in on the discussion and unbridled sense of community they offer each and every week. Smart, occasionally irreverent, and never boring, 11 O'Clock Comics is the family you didn't know you couldn't get by without.

Happy Birthday David
11 O'Clock Comics was the first podcast, let alone comics podcast, which I've been a regular listener of. I discovered the podcast while I was literally reading zero comics, but the way that these three guys discuss don't require you having actually read the book they're speaking about. That's the real uniqe quality that Vince, David, and Jason possess: they maintain the knowledge and vocabulary necessary to expertly impart the true spirit of whatever books they're talking about to the listener. That's what should bring you to 11 O'Clock comics. But what should keep you coming back, is the chemistry these three men share. They are all three wildly unique, and so are the individual relationships between each of them. David is the obvious central link of the trio, but Vince and Jason have a Mulder/Scully relationship (I won't say which is which) that makes listening a true joy. Nothing makes me smile more than hearing one of these guys laughingly call the others "dicks". Expert comic enthusiasts, but more importantly, three great dudes.

For D A P
I listen to many different podcasts on comics, and a variety of other podcasts. But 11 o'clock, is the one I truly look forward to every week. One of the most consistent, informative and entertaining shows out there. With great interviews and knowledge of the industry. When listing to the show some times you forget that it is a podcast and more like three brothers talking about comics.

My Favorite Podcast
I've been a fan of EOC for a long time. The amount of comics knowledge on the show is amazing. But, better than that, the hosts are great to listen to; they play well off of each other and it really feels like the listener is hanging out with good friends.

Still strong even after That one guy left
I have to say the way the show has evolvrd after Chris left has been great. Even though I wish he'd make a guest appearance already. Anyway, I enjoy how they invite guests on the show more frequently but I also enjoy when they have a streak of just talking comics among themselves. There's still great chemistry between them, and it's great to hear the brotherly comradery. Vince, Jason, and David need to receive some kickbacks on how many books they've helped sell. Keep it going guys, 500 episodes is just around the corner. :)

Great comic insight
Jason, David, and Vince are really entertaining! I am a sequential art student and I play their podcast in the background while I draw and I learn so much! There are so many comics out there and I can’t read them all especially on a students budget, but these guys keep me up to date on I need to know about the comics world. Want to know about comics? grab a seltzer. Listen to this podcast, and say goodnight David!

11 O'Clock Comics is the Best!
Have been a fan since the beginning. Fair and well balanced perspectives shared by all three hosts, with a sprinkling of amazing guest interviews. Truly the three gentlemen understand the medium and are respectful regarding comments towards the works of others. The banter between the three also makes the time fly as you listen. One of the more interesting comic book podcasts around!

An Informative/Comprehensive Podcast
I'm a big DC Comics fan. DC tends to be my go too. However, I do love less mainstream comics fair. This podcast is great for intelligent discussions about lesser known comic titles. My only complaint might be that they can be a little negative at times. I prefer their discussions about what they are enjoying and would rather hear that over what they didn't like. Minor complaint though. They truly love the comics media and it shows.

Listening for years.
I started listening to this podcast several years ago. It doesn’t doesn’t go to far off subject (comics), while still being real laid back. Even when it does go off base, it’s still interesting, and now I want to watch the Strain. The show presents a great atmosphere. Just a couple of dudes talking about all the stuff in the world thats cool. I picked up Nemo and Neonomicon because of this show, I learned about Valiant because of this show (which I’m finally starting to get into) and I also read more non super hero comics because of good ol Price, Wood, and B. I’m loving Secret Wars as well, but the podcast is at it’s best when I’m hearing about comics that I haven’t heard of before.

Long time listener, first time reviewer...
Do you like Jack Kirby? Odd ball 90's hip hop references? Talking wine? Check them out. Okay... If you are reading reviews for this podcast, you have to realize there are three eras of this podcast. Originally it started as a Marvel-centric podcast w/Vince and David (don't call him Dave). Then it evolved into the all comics 11 O'Clock Comics with Vince, David, podcast vet Chris, and newby Jason. After several years, Chris moved on and left us with a Terrific Trio. These guys genuinely love comics. They explore comics outside the big two, have quirks, a great senses of humor, and I wouldn't change these guys for anything. There is a lot of "guy talk". so it is not the most politically correct podcast. So if you are a bit high-strung, be warned.

These gentlemen have an in depth knowledge of comics and the history of the character and have a passion for great storytelling. Smart, consistent and entertaining comics discussion
Wood has been fishing for reviews lately so here it goes: Let me start by stating for the record that I love this podcast. And the primary reason why is due to the distinct personalities and proclivities of the hosts (barring an absent exception). Not to mention the length (and girth) of the show itself. It's a hearty steaming earful of comics goodness that is consistent in quality and content. I don't have anyone to talk comics with at length like this and it fills that need by proxy. I have been exposed to a countless number of artists, writers and books that I may never have stumbled upon otherwise and can attribute hundreds of hours of satisfied reading to this show. Full disclosure my enjoyment of the show grew ten sizes the day Neisman left. I found his views to be dismissive, petulant and contrarian regarding the vast majority of mainstream comics. His disdain for them was palpable and irritating. He sucked the joy and enthusiasm out of conversations almost every time he spoke. I believe the show is infinitely better in its current holy trinity configuration. You should definitely keep it that way. But I digress. The bottom line is that this is the best comics discussion podcast out there and I deeply appreciate the efforts of David, Vince and Jason for sharing their passion and producing such a reliably terrific show for free. Thanks fellas, keep up the great work!

Best Comics Podcast Ever -- Period.
Intelligent, impassioned and fun - these are the words to describe the conversation and analysis provided by Vince B, King DAP and Wood. These are three friends discussing their love of the comic medium with such gusto you will feel giddy about finding these long lost comic amigos for the first time. In-depth discussions of art, story, plot, colors, lettering and inking - not skimping on any part of the comic process - provides the most sophisticated criticism of any show. The show itself is a meaty two to three hours every week - yes, every week amazing. Also, there is a lack of cynicism that is refreshing for podcasts and criticism in general. There is love here, I tell you. No limits on the type of comic or company -- everyone is welcome!! Just the way I like my entertainment - inclusive of opinions and viewpoints, but with reckless abandon with opinions. Not to mention amazing guest stars like Jonathan Hickman, Jason Aaron, Brandon Grahame, Skottie Young, Rob Liefeld, the Hardman power couple and so much more. Or the amazing community at their forum or Facebook page - great places to discuss comics. So much more to discuss -- but I will end with this. In your travels, 11o'clock has been one of the weekly bright spots of my life for three years and it will be one of yours after the first listen. Is it Wednesday yet?

good comics talk, but not very friendly to the ladies
If I were to review this podcast based on the comics talk alone, I would give 5 stars. I have been a listener for years. You get great, in depth comics discussion by some very knowledgeable guys. I even enjoy the side banter and shenanigans, for the most part. The area where it has always fallen short for me is how they talk about women. I don’t think that the show is very inviting to women and I doubt that many women listen. The hosts are all very hung up on the appearance and attractiveness of the women they talk about even when the person’s appearance that is being discussed has absolutely nothing to do with the work that they are critiquing. They all frequently comment on how “hot” the women in the industry (or actors or wrestlers or whatever) are or aren’t and sometimes even make comments on the wives of male creators that they have met. It’s an added layer of criticism that only the women they talk about are subject to and is completely subjective anyway. (“she could use a sandwich” or “got hit with the ugly stick” are used pretty frequently.) They raise the bar in most areas for a comics podcast, it would be nice if they were more mindful on this subject. Even complimenting someone’s “hotness” comes of as ignorant when it’s out of place.

EOC rules
Among the many comics podcasts that I love, this is by far the most interesting, fun, entertaining and comfortable show I listen to. You basically get to listen in on a few friends talking about what we all love, comics. Their tastes sync up with mine on most things and I cant tell you how many books I have bought after listening to a review from these dudes. But its not even like a review... Its someone being stoked and just talking about what they find interesting or entertaining about a book and it is 100% contagious. They focus on the positive and so when they go into an individual rumination on a comic you just feed off that positive vibe. It feels good to listen to this show...I guess thats what Im trying to say. love these dudes. they rule.

Greatest Comics Podcast....probably. Vince and David are both thoughtful and well read across the comic landscape. Could listen to these two for hours on end (which is the length of some episodes). Problem is there is no balance to Jason's love of Marvel and dislike of DC. When it pops up, usually with a back handed comment, it takes me out of the episode. Please get a new 4th person!

Best Comics Podcast on the Web
I have been listening to these guys for the past five years and can’t get enough of them! In this hobby that we all love, sometimes it’s tough to learn about new books or to remain as enthusiastic about the medium at times. Vince, Jason, David (and Chris in older episodes) keep me appraised of some of the best books on the market as well as very interesting (and often) conflicting view points on artists, writers, colorists, letters and inkers. They all have a unique viewpoint that adds to the mix, but remain respectful of everyone’s side. Their unscripted approach makes it evident that it’s just three friends sitting around, chatting about comics. When I’m listening to them talk, I feel as though I have a true connection to the world of comics that keeps me passionate about reading them. I thank them for their tireless efforts to bring new content to me week after week without fail. Their end of the year wrap-up show called the “11 Ocloscars” usually runs 3+ hours and is one of my favorites to hunker down and listen to over a couple of sittings. Thanks guys for all of the hours of enjoyment, you truly make this hobby of mine more enjoyable!

11 O’Clock Comics Is My Favorite Podcast...
…of not just comic book podcasts, but ALL the podcasts I enjoy. Not only do they share their deep love of comics, but they touch on movies, books, music, beer, and anything else they find interesting. I try to only listen to their podcast when I run, which is not just the encouragement, but the reward for taking frequent runs and staying healthy(ish). The only downside to the show is that you WILL be spending a lot more money on the comics they discus, as their enthusiasm is contagious. Tune in often to David, Jason, and Vince…you’ll be glad you did.

A good podcast, but...
I cannot dispute that I've gotten a lot of good comics-reading recommendations from this podcast. The hosts are clearly well-acquainted with comics history and tropes. But it's easy to lose patience. I'll express it in the form of the drinking games you can play with this podcast. This first one really doesn't apply any longer, but if you download episodes from the archive, you can play-- When Neseman says something that VinceB either dismisses out-of-hand or ignores altogether, take a drink. It's generally good for a pleasant buzz. When lily-white one-percenter investment banker Wood drops a hip-hop phrase or affectation, take a drink. You're guaranteed to be mildly wasted by the end of any given show. Here's the dangerous one. Every time David Price starts a sentence that he never finishes, take a drink. Without exception, you'll be blind and in the emergency room fighting for your life. I generally listen to the podcast at 1.5x speed, but when DAP speaks, switch to 2x. VinceB is the most polished of the bunch, but can be pretty long-winded. So, again, 1.5x speed is your friend.

This review is long overdue. I’ve been listening to EOC for a couple hundred episodes and it has been an education in comics. Every week I tune in to hear about the best of new releases and so, so much more that came well before my time. Long live the silver and bronze ages! I’d have never known about the vast majority of it without these guys. I’ve never had the pleasure of meeting any of them person, but I consider them all to be good friends. You’ll never find a more friendly, passionate and knowledgeable group of comics fans. Thanks so very much, guys!

Much Improved!
I was one of the first listeners of 11 O’Clock Comics in its early days, but I found myself drifting away from it a couple of years ago… mostly due to the negativity, contrarianism and know-it-all attitude of one of the four hosts. A couple of years have gone by and with not much along the way of new material from my go-to comics podcast (Comic Geek Speak) due to the tragic passing of one of their hosts, I decided to give 11 O’Clock Comics another shot. Imagine my luck, as my very first episode back was the guys’ first without the host I mentioned above! I’ve got to say, the podcast is so much better now. The “chemistry" between the trio of Vince B., Wood and DAP is amazing, and the conversation has returned to being intelligent and well-informed. I did notice that they’ve been experimenting with guest hosts to fill the 4th slot. Some have been better than others… Zack Kruse being the best of the bunch. That said, I hope the guys don’t feel pressured to always have a 4th member. Sometimes, less is more and they synergy with just the three of them is terrific. Either way, this trio has really hit their stride and EOC has returned to being one of the best (if not the best) comic podcasts available.

When I jumped into reading comic this podcast was very helpful in learning about comics to read. The hosts are knowledgeable and each have a great personality. Listening to this podcast is fun because it is just a conversation about comics rather than a stiff show like other podcasts. I have been listening to 11 O'Clock Comics for years now, and even though I have yet to meet either of the four hosts, actually feel as if : a) I know them and b) they are close personal friends. That's mostly because of the "four best friends sitting around a table talking comics" vibe that they exude in every episode. I have found so many new books and series that I never would have without them, and I can honestly say that they have honestly helped deepen my love for the medium of comics in a way no one else could or has. The Best Comic Podcast Out There
EOC is the best comics podcast you can get. Chris, David, Jason, and Vince, are an eclectic group of readers, that bounce ideas and thoughts off one another about the books they are reading...new and old. Nothing stale here, and always an engaging listen. You can expect a great mix of discussion from the most well know publishers, to the most obscure self published works. Don't let one episode color your opinion because ultimately you'll discover one or more of the hosts will be in line with your tastes, and have some great insights into the things you already love, and the things you don't know you love yet. I've expanded my collection, and more importantly my enjoyment of reading comics ever since listening to this podcast years ago. Thanks guys. Codymander

5 Star Review.
11 O’Clock Comics. There are few combinations of words and numbers that get my juices flowing as much as that. “It’s 5 O Clock Somewhere” and “Must be Beer:30” are the only contenders. The banter between the four hosts is often fair, and mostly balanced. But always entertaining. You’ve tried other comic podcasts I’m sure. But these guys go beyond simple comic and pop culture talk. Musings on life, friendship, and Beercraft all have their place here. Simply put it’s the best 2.5 hours (give or take) of my podcast listening each week.

It's a good podcast with three of the four hosts knowing their stuff. The fourth host, David really is too quiet throughout the show and you really don't know his opinions on topics. What an amazing show! I'm normally a Marvel/DC guy but listening to this podcast has made me feel a lot more educated about the world of comics beyond the Big Two. What really has me hooked, however, is the chemistry of the four hosts. When you find a winning combination of voices/viewpoints, then they can talk about anything and the listener will be on the edge of their seat wanting more. At times, each of the guys has been my "favorite" and they each are very engaging with their fans. The forum supporting the show is extremely active and has become a close knit family. Best podcast ever? Probably
I don't listen to many podcasts, but out of the few I've tried out this one is by far the best. It is surprisingly funny, the four regular hosts have amazing chemistry, and you can tell that they're actual real friends. It doesn't hurt that between the four of them they have a plethora of knowledge, be prepared to learn something new every week. I like the fact that they talk about both old and new stuff, and they manage to keep a healthy balance of mainstream and indie books, so there will always be something for everybody. The only warning I have with regards to the podcast is that since they usually talk about stuff they liked and they know what they're taking about, you will have to forcefully stop yourself from running out to the store to buy whatever books they're covering that week. I have discovered a smorgasbord of books (and sometimes even other things like food, music, etc...) I would have never heard of thanks to them, and what more can I ask for? Stop being lame and check it out!

Love the podcast. Started listening to podcasts about a year ago and this one quickly moved to my top must listen to each week. I just appreciate the open dialogue between the 4 hosts. The only comics podcast you need
Four guys who love comics talk about everything from Marvel and DC superheroes to 70s horror comics to Love and Rockets to the latest books from superstar creators like Brian K. Vaughn or Jonathan Hickman. You can't listen to an episode without coming away with at least three new books you'll want to check out.

These are the professionals
I am so glad I stumbled upon this pod cast. Usually when the word 'comic' is in the title of the podcast I often find the word consistent 'missing'... But not with these guys. This podcast is consistently: Good Reliable Entertaining Current Funny Evolving I've purchased Prophet because of these guys and I plan on buying the new Wonder Woman once I can dig up some spare $$$. (Got me a one year old son that gets all my money.) Thank you for this pod cast. You guys are as fun as 'Minute Physics'

Best Comics Podcast
This is by far the best comics podcast out there, and I've heard the majority of them. The format is simple. Four friends get together, have a cocktail(sometimes 3), and talk comics. And when I say "talk comics", it can be anything. From recent issues to the importance of inking to Manga to Uncle Scrooge comics. You love the Big 2? Check! You love indies? Check! I've read comic books for over 30 years and have learned more about the process and industry here than anywhere else. And have been led to more great suggested reading here than anywhere else. But the big draw? The hosts. Allow me to introduce: 1.Vince B-The living embodiment of Kirby Krackle! 2. Christopher Neseman- He'll talk comics, baseball, fine foods, microbrews and curling. Renaissance Man? You bet! 3. Jason Wood- Captain of Wall Street by day, Hip Hop spoutin' comic podcaster by night. He "Cray Cray". 4. David A. Price-The King DAP! Champion of inkers everywhere and quietly the funniest man in comics podcasting. Silly? Yeah. But this is my respectful shout-out to 4 guys I've never met but would love to. And that's the thing. If you listen in, I imagine you'll want to meet them too. They're great guys who put on a great show. So tune in. Raise a glass to The Boys of 11 O'clock. You'll be glad you did.

The real Fantastic Four
A highlight of the week is listening to these four banter passionately about a wide range of comics, theres are plenty of podcasts about DC and Marvel, and though they are not ignored here, its great to hear about some lesser kown gems. Genuinely my fav comic podcast ever by a country mile.

No frontin', 11 O'Clock got soul...
Just when you think you have Vince, David, Chris or Jason pegged in their tastes they'll hit you with a pick that reminds you just how wide and diverse a net of comics knowledge and discussion these dudes are casting on the regular. Plenty of laughs, passionate and insightful discussion, the sound of true friendship, and so many fantastic guests keep 11 O'Clock at the very top of comic book podcasts.

Not the Challengers of the Unknown -- the Fantastic Four!
It occurred to me that, based on the justifiable Kirby man-crushes these four sport for the King, my review could be told through a metaphor of Our Heroes as the Challengers of the Unknown -- boldly going forth each and every week to grapple with the mysteries of new offerings in the graphic storytelling medium! You know, Vince B as Walter Haley, and...then, it hit me -- that would be a labored analogy, especially when a much better one was right in front of me: the EOC crew are living, breathing, four-color avatars of the Fantastic Four! It's PERFECT! Vince is Mr. Fantastic -- knows more about most of the topics than everyone else (he's been at it the longest, let's face it), uses the biggest words, sometimes talks too much, especially from the point of view of The Thing, aka Christopher Neseman: jock, lover of food and drink, neighborhood guy (I just BET there's a Yancy Street in Chicago!), possessor of a sometimes edgy temper, and passive-aggressive counterpart to Vince/Reed Richards; after all, when Vince is gone, Chris runs the show, and through most of the history of the FF, that's how it played. Now, Jason Wood HAS to be Johnny Storm -- the youngest, consumer of too much soda pop, father of many young boys which proves him to be the most virile, and as the guy with the highest earnings and largest original art collection, surely the only one who would ever be found driving a REALLY expensive sports car; while he does have more brains than Johnny, well, these analogies are not necessarily perfect, OK? And just listen to his laugh -- that's a Johnny Storm laugh! if I ever heard one! Now, that leaves us with David A. Price, King DAP, who has to be Sue Storm, and not only by default -- it's not JUST that the other three guys resemble one of the members of the FF more than David (not angry enough to be Ben, not as deeply analytical as Vince, so he can't be Reed, and not as youthfully enthusiastic as Jason, so he's not going to be Johnny), it's also that david is sort of the quiet glue that holds the family together. Not speaking as often as the other three, nonetheless when he does say something, it matters -- his power IS invisible. When Chris falls asleep or takes an unannounced AFK for a beer or bathroom run, you don't really know he's gone. But when King DAP hasn't said something for a while, you feel his absence, and wait with fascination for what he will say next. And if any two of these characters have man-crushes akin to married love for one another...let's face it, it's Vince and David. So yeah, the FF. And like the FF, episode in and episode out, they provide the best possible version of their particular brand of entertainment anywhere in the world today. If possible, I would rename EOC "The World's Greatest Comics Podcast," and there would be no hyperbole. Others are good, but nothing comes close to EOC, just as, over 600 or so issues, there is no comic book that can be said to be better than the Fantastic Four. 'Nuff said! (Sorry Vince!)

I love these guys! I've only been listening to this podcast for 2 or 3 months, but it's quickly become the highlight of my listening week. The chemistry between the hosts is wonderful and I love to hear what they have to say. In addition, the podcast has opened my eyes to a whole new world of comics. Having only been reading comics for 3 years or so (sticking mostly to Marvel and DC), I've added dozens of new books to my reading list based on the recommendations and conversations these guys have. Keep up the good work!

Love three of the folks on this show, but really wish a certain someone had stayed on walkabout. F-bombs every thirty seconds and pseudo-intellectual nonsense about ale is NOT why I tune into a podcast about COMICS. These guys really do know their comics, and about half the time they are entertaining--but they continue to allow one pretentious, crass, rude, overly opinionated, buffoon dirty the 11 O'Clock Comics nest ... One stop shop podcast for comics
Great podcast about comics with the a perfect blend of personalities that, even though they are likeminded, differentiate enough in taste to spark interesting conversations and debates within the gang. I would however recommend fast forwarding through the first 30 min of the show in the 2012 episodes since it's a very slow start before they actually start talking about comics, but once they get started its gold!

At the beginning of last year, I lost my job, my home, and my dog. Like DC comics, my life had to be completely rebooted. My comic book addiction was only satisfied by the discovery of podcasts downloaded from a friends computer. I enjoy Jason and Vince's apparent love/hate relationship. When Chris isn't hating on manga or loving on curling (interesting priorities i must say), I enjoy his aloof commentary. David is the most accessible fanboy I have ever heard on a podcast. I am now gainfully employed and a regular customer of my local comic book store as well as DCBS. Keep up the great work, gentlemen. Vince: you are the dirty old man i hope to be some day. Jason: my condolences for the imminent (and obviously temporary) death of Deadpool. Yours Truly, Griff P.S. - I love Grape Ape.

Amazing podcast for the comic fan
As a long time listener I felt the need to review the podcast here on iTunes. The show has led to me to becoming a more diverse and appreciative comics’ reader. I know I am talking about comics, but their passion and excitement for the medium have led me to becoming a passionate fan of the art form and the show. The shows run on average 2 hours, but they are packed with information about what is coming out and things that may have come out before you were born. Regardless of the content the men on this show provide insight that is rarely seen in this medium. I would call this podcast edutainment and I don't think they would argue with me with that statement. So download what the best podcast and podcast community that is around.

Terrific discussion, and entertaining into the bargain
The breadth of the hosts' knowledge about comics, not only what's on the rack but the evolution of the form, is matched only by the depth to which they can take the conversation. Great show. Vince was only right once, but it was on Duncan the Wonder Dog, so I'll forgive him. Wood's a brilliant commentator, and David: David, please, please get a new mic. Great Comics Discussion
Chris, Wood, Dave, and Vince know comic books. They talk about comics. They analyze comics. They enjoy comics. They argue about comics. They laugh about comics. 11 O' Clock Comics features some of most detailed and honest comic book discussions I've ever heard. The show's four hosts are well spoken, well read, and best of all, have completely different tastes. Whether it's the latest big event from Marvel or DC or the newest Indy darling, Chris, Wood, Dave, and Vince cover every detail. They're very opinionated, very passionate, and very thorough. The four are clearly close friends, which creates a nice rapport that you don't hear in other podcasts. If you like comic books this podcast is a must. II've laughed with the show, I've shaken my head in frustrartion with the show, I constantly enjoy the show, but best of all the show has opened my eyes to countless comic books that I wouldn't have read otherwise. If you're looking for honest discussion about comic books from four guys who clearly know and love the medium, 11 O' Clock Comics is for you. Give it a try.

The best podcast out there... period.
This has become my absolute favorite podcast to listen to on my commute to and from work (50 minutes by bicycle each day). I've been listening for over a year and am to the point where the weekly episode isnt' enough. I am now going back to the beginning. Today I got to experience the very first drink role call, which is one of my favorite parts of the show. If Chris wasn't so busy with comics podcasting, I'd say that he should start a beercast as well. Each of these four gentlemen bring a lot of personality to the table, the conversations are interesting, intelligent and relevant. I've checked out quite a few other comics podcasts and turned them off after a few minutes when I realized that the hosts are blithering idiots. That is so not the case here, unless you happen to get Vince to start dipping into the malt liquor... You guys are freaking great!! Thanks for an incredibly entertaining show.

Fun, honest and challenging comics talk
Any show worth its salt is not going to appeal to everybody, and will thereby have its detractors. 11 O'Clock Comics is no different. Here you have four well-read, educated men getting together to talk comics as friends and drinking buddies. Just like your real-life drinking buddies, they will say things you disagree with, will have different tastes than you, and sometimes sensitive topics like politics and religion come up. In the end, you agree about some things, disagree about others, and you go home. Mutual respect is implied, however. The show is at turns hysterical, crass, mundane and intellectual--all the more reason why pub-talk is the most fitting metaphor for 11 O'Clock. They also have a forum, which this writer never been particularly active in but by all accounts is a great place to continue the conversation. That said, if you don't like loose language, strong opinions and alcohol-induced declarative statements, then this show may not be for you. And that's fine: there are PLENTY of other comics-themed podcasts out there. This is a good show with a good format and good content. Don't expect to dig everything; expect to be exposed to something different and to come away more enthusiastic about comics than you were before. Give 11 O'Clock a shot--you might be challenged, but you won't be disappointed.

The kick-stand of comic pod casts...
Jason Wood, David Price, Chris Neseman, and (the main man!) Vince Bon celebrate the comic medium weekly, with a drink (or 6). Reviewing the latest offerings from the biggest companies to the most indy creations, all bring their unique insight to diverse areas of the medium. A perfect counterpoint to other great comic pod casts; if you listen to CGS & iFanboy, 11 O'Clock Comics is the (mandatory!) third leg. I never would have gotten Asterios Polyp or Dave Steven's Rocketeer without the passion they showed in discovering those works themselves. Follow them on Twitter for even more hilarity (and stock analysis)!

preachy
i like half the cast of this show, now with AC back (i hope) i can drop this podcast hard. two of the hosts tell you to "like what you like" and then put down most mainstream comics. am i talking about david no, am i talking about chris no. so do yourself a favor stick to around comics and marvel noise. i'm sure the other 2 guys are nice people, but come across as their noses are in the air, and its just not for me.

Wanted To Like It But They Just Ramble
I really wanted to like this podcast, but there's no substance to this podcast. Maybe that's the point, but I don't have 2+ hours to commit to something like that. I found their reviews to be pedestrian and I wasn't entertained. Podcasts should not feel like endurance marathons. Rarely do I write bad reviews, but it was frustrating that a podcast of this potential ends up sounding like dudes in a basement.

An essential of comics podcasting
I've listened to just about every comics podcast out there and, though I've loved many, none have been as consistently engaging to me over a long period of time (two years and counting) as 11 O'Clock. Each of the four hosts has a very distinct personality and taste, but through it all what comes through is that each of them absolutely LOVES the medium of comics. I've been reading every comic I could get my hands on for 20 years, and I still learn about cool new things I've never heard of in every single show. What's nice is that these guys touch on pretty much everything, though... mainstream, indie, alt, manga, sketchbooks, out-of-print, Golden, Silver and Bronze Age, horror, European, even pornography, often all in a single episode. Under the guise of four friends chatting about what they read over the past week (so it's more conversational and never gets too dry, formatted, or review-y) I am continually schooled on the complete history of the medium. The guys themselves are goofy, crass, they cut up a lot and bust balls... that's part of the charm of the show. You'll laugh, get angry, be flumoxed, feel great, feel bummed, be annoyed, be amazed... again, all within the confines of a single episode. What I like is that there is very rarely a consensus viewpoint between the four hosts, offering multiple perspectives on each book being discussed. I know these guys, I like these guys, I've developed actual friendships on their message board, I've even met collaborators and had a couple comics published, and it's all because of 11 O'Clock. Not to get too schmaltzy, but if a comic book podcast can change your life, this is the one.

Thanks
When I first got my ipod several years ago I downloaded as many comic podcasts as I could due to the novelty of the format and the ipod. After about 3 years I have three podcasts that I still listen to regularly, 11 o'clock being one of them. The main reason I dropped many of the others was due to time constraints (which is a bit ironic due to the fact that 11 o'clock is probably the longest of all of them). 11 o'clock is just different enough from episode to episode to stay fresh and just familiar enough to feel like talking with friends. You guys are awesome (the word seems appropriate). Thanks so much for all the great episodes, especially ones with significant pauses and the occasional host who dozes off.

Although Vince's comic book taste is not my cup of tea, and the preference of Marvel comics can be tiresome sometimes, it is for those same reasons I love this podcast! Straight Comic Talk
This is a great show if you love comics, are interested in comics history or just like to eavesdrop on conversations at the LCS. Vince is a terrific salesman and his genuine love for the medium is a service to the comics community. The show can drag a bit with sometimes excessive name-dropping, and if the word "nice" was never invented, the show would be at least 30 minutes shorter on average. They do this every week and the production quality is absolutely terrific for a non-professional podcast.

Four Distinct Voices
One of the few comics podcasts that breaks away from the big two SuperHero genre ghetto. These guys talk about comics as an art form; they even discuss financial matters that clearly effect this low-profit margin medium. They don't gush about what's the latest content to be fed to a film studio, they talk about the art of comics. They have different needs from visual storytelling that puts them at odds with one another at times as well as challenges the listener. They are unpredictable and passionate. The humor and wit of the show comes naturally, it's not a bunch of cool geeks with affected cynicism brandishing their tired and predictable shnarky one liners. I have become addicted to the show and have a great respect for these comic enthusiasts. If what defines you as a comics reader is whether you are brand Marvel or brand DC then you may not like this podcast, but to paraphrase something Ray Johnson said-that's your fault not theirs.

Believe it or not, I am a fan...
I really enjoy the conversation and the banter on your show, but the shows themselves are extremely long. Have you considered splitting the longer shows up? Most comic podcasts average an hour, give or take, and that seems to be a pretty good amount of time. Anything longer than that, and I start to drift in and out. Also, I have a question about the voice mails that you play during the show; why do you play them but not comment on them? Many times I'll hear a voice mail that poses an interesting question or topic that I would like to hear you guys weigh in on, but it never happens. Kind of defeats the purpose of having listeners call in if their messages aren't being addressed, doesn't it? I would understand if the message being played happened to directly relate to what you're already talking about, but most of the time they don't. All that being said, I do really enjoy your show.

Four guys with different backgrounds and from different areas who come together to share and celebrate their love of comics. VinceB is so joyful, passionate and articulate as he discusses comics that he actually makes feel feel stupid at times on a subject that I consider myself to be fairly knowledable. Why I like 11 o'Clock Comics
11 O'Clock comics is the podcast I look the most forward to each week. They are the number one podcast if you are looking for a ridiculously crazy, bald-headed Marvel fan with a heart of gold. I greatly enjoy the rantings and ramblings of each person on the show. If i had to name my absolute favorite part of the podcast, The one thing that brings me back every week is David Price's(the rightly named King DAP) snarky remarks. In my opinion they make this podcast. So, if its semi-drunk guys (except for Vince) discussing comics you are looking for check out this very podcast!!!

Great show!
I listen to this podcast religiously every week and I love hearing how excited Vince B and the other guys get about comics even ones I would have no interest in. They have introduced me to a bunch of series I love and informed me of DCBS which is a service that saves me a ton. So why only 4 stars? I would rate this podcast 5 stars if only it weren't for the voicemails. Unlike most podcasts where they have voicemails which are answered on the podcast this show just has random voicemail rants spliced into the show which usually consist of someone who is barely coherent spending 5 minutes repeating the same complaint or praise over and over in different ways or some obnoxious attention starved individual who needs to tell the world how great they are. I would love not to have to fastforward through 20 minutes a show worth of voicemails mixed in, it would be far easier and more enjoyable without them or at least leave them for the end of the podcast since they are just random call-ins and aren't actually addresssed or answered on the show.

VinceB is the Reed Richards, brainy and comprehensive. Jason is the Human Torch, the youthful hotshot. Christopher Neseman is The Thing, a burly powerhouse with the tender center. And David A Price is, while not a woman, the heart and soul of the team. (And pretty. Don't forget how pretty.) The chemistry of these guys will draw you in and adopt you. Make you realize you have family you never knew you had. And that's just them personally. Comics' wise, they represent something for everyone. You want Marvel & DC? Check. A Comic Book Podcast Familiar
The folks of 11 O'Clock Comics bring a sense of familiarity and kinship often missed in mass communication. While listening you'll find a title you knew nothing about, writers you've always loved, or an artist you've felt indifferent about. In any case you'll discover it all while feeling like you've just gotten done talking with your (hopefully friendly) LCS owner or the friend you grew up reading comics with. Also, most of them drink. A Great Podcast for All Comic Book Readers Old and New
This is one of my favorite podcasts about comic books. I like that the guys talk mostly about comic books and not much about movies, games, etc. They always talk about new or old comic books that I then want to go out and get. They don't focus too much on interviews which I can get from other podcasts. Vince always has something to say about an obscure title that because of what he says makes you want to check it out. David has a vast knowledge of past stories and is always there to help out with trivia. Chris is not afraid to say what he really thinks about certain titles and that's refreshing. Wood is like anyone of us but he's on the inside and always asking great questions.

woo. hoo.
I have been listening to 11 O'clock comics for over a year now, and I wanted to wait it out before I wrote a review, so I could determine consistency. For me, the frame work of the show is fantastic. 4 hosts, all with something to offer. They are all very wise in their comic knowledge and each have their own individual personality, even the ones that barely talk. This leads to a great comic talk podcast that Hits more than it Misses. This is, however, a show that reading the episode summaries will pay off. Many shows spend large chunks of time covering the business end of comics, which I find much less interesting then their very good comic reviews. Also, their shows tend to be extremely Marvel-centric which is fine, but I prefer their more balanced episodes (thank you Chris for mixing it up the most.) Also, at least 10 minutes out of each episode is dedicated to fan voice mails. Which shows great listener interaction, but are mostly boring and add very little to the listening experience. So I say, read the summaries and listen to the episodes that the summary describes it as talking about all brands of comics (not just Marvel) with comics history (which Vince and David blow minds with) and you will have one of the most enjoyable comic podcasts on the net.

I have never heard anybody talk about their love of the comic book medium like the four men that host this show each week do. They talk about comics in a way that make you sometimes feel embarrassed to be listening in on the conversation, because it sounds like that are with thier wives on a romantic night out. An incredibly insightful podcast
My god, these guys know their comics. I literally have to keep a notepad close-by to catch all of their excellent recommendations. One show that stands out was a Halloween episode where they list their favorite horror artists. The names, titles and synopsis just kept on coming! And there's such affection for each reference that it never feels like they're namedropping for the sake of it. They all have such a great time on the show that it's infectious. When I grow up, I hope I'm as wise, open-minded and charasmatic as Vince. (btw, I have to mention this one episode where Vince recommends BeanWorld as being one of the greatest comic series of all time. The other co-hosts gave him a really hard time having known nothing about a comic with such a silly name. Man, I gotta hand it to you, Vince. You held your own, even if you clearly demonstrated that you were annoyed and somewhat insulted. But you know what? You stopped it from devolving into a snob-fest and convinced me into loving that silly book. Hoka Hoka Hey!)

Thank you VinceB
I love comics, or I thought I did until I started listening to this podcast. I have been exposed to a whole new world of comics beyond the SuperHero genre. I have no one to talk to comics about and I am not a huge message board guy, so this podcast is my home. I feel like I know everyone (even the children hater Chris), and I have a sense of belonging when I listen. Thanks and keep it up.

One of the best around, uh, comics...
I'd heard a lot about this show but hesitated to get into another show about comics. Boy, do I feel like the late guy to the party. Thankfully I get to backtrack and listen tradepaperback style. Vince, David, Chris and Wood craft a fun, informative pull no punches show that never ceases to entertain. It reminds me of The Geek Savants (ding!) only without the gayness. Keep 'em coming, fellas!

Crazy drunken comic book rants.
Listening to this podcast reminds me of when my friends and I have a few drinks and start talking about anything. It usually starts off calm and coherent, but as time goes by and drinks get drank, then all logic and reason goes out the window in exchange for lunatic ramblings and yelling. That's why I love this podcast.

The Best Comics Podcast!
These four are awesome. I look foward to listening to this cast every week just as much as I look foward to reading my new releases on Wednesday, thats how entertaining this cast is. Additionally, the knowlege that these four guys have of comics is amazing, there isn't an episode where I don't find myself taking notes. I have been following the comic book medium for about 15 years now and 11 o'clock comics made me a true comic fan from being a meare Marvel fan. Keep it up guys and all comic fans subscribe to this cast now!

Romancing the Comics!
True lovers of comics have indepth discussions more about the actual art form and the medium rather than the industry. If you're a comic fan and don't mind the "blue collar humor", this is the podcast that should be on top of your playlist.

2:00 O'Clock Comics
Hey this is Rob and Eliza again! We just left a review for the Around Comics podcast on iTunes, but we just wanted to make sure that Chris got our thanks for showing us a great time in Chicago during our recent trip! We stayed out quite some time that night, hence my subject title!! It was great to see you guys in action, recording a podcast that we've been listening to for years (that being AC) and hearing a little bit about all of the fun that you guys have recording 11 O'Clock Comics! You consistently manage to not only elevate the discourse of comic books and related media, but to do it humbly and entertainingly. We have to say that you've managed to almost singlehandedly rope us back into the world of comics when we didn't think we'd ever return after the traumatizing nineties! So, a doff of my cap and a quaff of my nightcap to you gentlemen scholars (well, mostly), and if you keep putting out your podcasts, well, then we'll keep right on listening! Cheers!

Comics, intellectual conversation, and alcohol all wrapped up together.
David, Vince, Chris, and Wood know their comics and have no qualms about sharing them. If you are interested in comics at all, you need to do yourself and download 11 O'Clock Comics right now.

Awesome Podcast
Was really hoping this could be #100 for you guys, but I'm fine with 99. Do yourself a favor and check out this podcast. I listen to these guys every week, and they know what they are talking about. They throw out great suggestions, and I don't know if I would have understood Final Crisis or Batman RIP without these guys. Guys keep up the good work, and thanks for putting out an awesome podcast.

One of the best comics podcasts
Vince, David, Chris and the gang are great. I feel that I am a much smarter comics fan for listening to their show and they have turned me on to some great works that I would not have discovered on my own. Good stuff that just keeps getting better the more you listen.

Is this podcast worth listening to? YES.... IT REALLY IS.
Is this podcast worth listening to? YES, this is a great podcast. These guys really have fun and love comics of all types, not just the regular super-hero books and I like hearing about different books, making me make a list of comics I have to look for and buy that I normally wouldn't even look at. Keep it up guys.

Improbable Brilliance
Who'd think, four guys talking about comics would be as listenable as this? It shouldn't work but it does. The divergent sensibilities of David, Vince, Chris and Wood keep the show interesting but it's their obvious friendship that keeps it accessible.

Rock out with your Clock out!
Lately I've grown tired of Comic Book culture related podcasts that seem to focus on the rising cost of comics. So tired in fact, that the constant whining has made me think about destroying my iPod in a public display of objection. Thankfully, The 11 O'clock Comics Podcast has rescued my iPod from it's death sentence. Vince B, David, Chris and Jason are comic enthusiast that actually like comics! How refreshing. The group also brings an inside knowledge of the complexities of the comic industry that is unmatched. The excitement the guys bring when discussing various small press titles has inspired me to broaden my geek horizons. Keep on clock'n.

Comics Nirvana...oh how sweet it is!
By far the highest quality, and most anticipated, comics podcast that I listen to every week. These guys not only love comics, they seem like genuinely fun individuals...people you could see yourself hanging out and talking comics with at the shop every week. A quick word of warning for those with virgin ears...there is some slightly course language and adult themes. If that's not a problem for you (or, if you're like me and it adds to your enjoyment!) then come on over and read some floppies with these guys! Highest. Possible. Recommendation.

Great cast of true comic book gurus
These guys really know their stuff. Its great because I get to hear about a bunch of books that I otherwise would never know were out there. They cover the whole universe of comics from Marvel and DC to the craziest stuff you've never heard of. They are helping me to broaden my horizons.

Great comic talk with a two-drink minimum
A tasty concoction of comics and alcohol. VinceB, Wood, Chris, and David bring da heeeat every week. The good news: They can get very deep into some topics, often with vehement disagreement among four guys with strong opinions. As you might guess, this is entertaining as hell. The bad news: This can make for some loooong podcasts. Good news: The shows are broken into segments, so if you get weary (or if your buzz wears off), you can pause and come back for more later. It's one of only two comics podcasts I look forward to every week. Show 'em some love; subscribe today!

Great podcast for comic book discussion
This podcasts provides a nice overview of a range of comics from multiple publishers and creators. They don't have many guests like in Around Comics, but sometimes guests can be boring and the discussions are usually entertaining and informative enough for that to not be an issue. The hosts are funny in a dirty old man sort of way. Most recently they had an amusing discussion about Omaha the Cat Dancer interspersed with the usually creepy but humorous giggles from VinceB.

Changes for the greater
This podcast was formerly known as The Bullpen Bulletins podcast and I did a glowing review of it a while back. The name has changed to 11 O'Clock Comics. The roster of hosts has double to four with the addition of Chris Neseman and Jason Wood. The content has changed from being Marvel centric to embracing all comics. Any other show might lose some of its luster with all of the changes, but this one hasn't. David Price is still the smartass who would be a bad influence if we were all sitting in the back of the classroom. Vince can still sweet talk your knickers off, even if you aren't wearing any. Combined with road weary coolness of Neseman and the unbounded exuberance of Wood, you have the formula for great podcast listening.

Greatness
11 O' Clock is the one podcast that I look forward to listening to each week. These guys talk very conversationally but very honest and informative about the books and industry. Their recommendations are for the most part good and they usually talk about enough different kinds of books where every comic fan should find something to enjoy. Also these guys don't just sit around and hate on every book-if they don't like something they usually can give a solid reason why and not that it's just this company or creator etc. Love the show so thanks Vince, Chris, David, and Jason. Oh and by the way maybe someone should put Chris on a 2 drink minimum from here on out-he's kind of an angry drunk!!

Best Comic Podcast Ever!
Hello friends. 6 months ago I purchased my first ipod. Being a comic book fan for over 30 years I began listening to comic podcasts at work. Of the 5 to 6 comic podcasts I listen to regularly this one is my favorite. I can't really explain why. So, I will not. Just listen, drink along and enjoy the fun.

Love The Show
Your show is great and entertaining but I have one criticism that I would like to address from recent episodes. Ever since Secret Invasion Chris has been really down on Brian Michael Bendis and Marvel. If you don't like something the guy wrote that's obviously fine. We're all entitled to our own opinion but not too long ago Chris was the ultimate Bendis fanboy who now goes out of his way to clown on his work at every turn after having a drink or two. He seems like a hypocrit for doing a 180 after one little event.

If you're on the fence, check this one out
The 11 o'clock format is quite nice: four (or so) guys talk comics on comic book day each week. Vince B (i think) splices in some relevant voice-mails and there it is. This podcast has quickly become my favorite because of their setup. All of the hosts have a wealth of comic info and are refreshingly unfiltered. I especially enjoy the lack of guests and focus of the show. These guys are here to talk comics. Pure comics talk from pure comics dorks. So download it already, dork!

An aquired taste, but worth the effort!
At first I found the guys to be a bit self indulgent (drink roll call?) and a bit pretentious due to their efforts to embrace independent books at the expense of mainstream. I thought that they had forgotten the simple pleasures of the books that hooked us all in the first place. Over time, I came to enjoy the banter and have heard appreciation of mainstream books when they are done well. The show usually focuses on current events and does not get bogged down with much nostalgia, although as an older listener (46), I wouldn't mind a little more. In a day where I neither have the time or money to buy everything, they provide a sampling of what is available and make you feel as if you are friends with people you've never met. I now got out of my way to listen as soon as possible once the show is posted.

Boobies!!!! The show is freaking great. They have a great discussion about comics, and at times it is even informative. The bad: I can’t listen to this while at the office. I can’t get much work done because I’m laughing too much. And at the podcasters request, one more time: Boobies!!!!
